I voted yesterday when there were only 6 comments, now there are over 50. I've been reading the comments and I am so ticked at these negative, ignorant people that don't know anything about ecigs. You can tell by their comments that they haven't done any research. Not one has given a valid reason for not allowing vaping at SB.

I voted up and commented. I can remember years ago when coffee shops banned cigarettes. I knew we were in trouble then. If you've ever visited a coffee shop in France you'll know what I mean. Coffee and cigs were the perfect match. I've been vaping for about two years and quit a 45 yr habit.
If Starbucks had any sense they would not only allow but sell e-cigs at their locations. Smoking was a big deal at coffee shops for years and years until the 2nd hand alarmist and PC attitude took over. It was a part of the culture. Now that there is a safer alternative you would think Starbucks would embrace it but remember, this is where the socially intelligent elite meet. Next thing you know they may ban your laptop if it's not a Mac and your phone if it's not an iPhone.
It's all PC elitist BS.

Noodoggy, you said,

go for it. i work for starbucks and one thing we do like to do is keep our customers happy. if enough people say something about it we can get some positive action on it. as i understand it now, starbucks is a smoke-free environment. however, electronic cigarettes are included in that, but i think enough voice from customers would change that. =)

I can't count myself a customer of Starbucks, since I refuse to patronize a place which prohibits PVs and vapers. I boycott Starbucks so completely that when someone offers to bring me back something from Starbucks, I politely decline. When a corporation is so ignorantly fascistic, or allows ignorant fascists control their corporate policies, it has made a choice. In the face of such a choice, I've made mine. Should Starbucks ever choose to change its policy, then I will choose to change mine.

I know I'm hitting you, indirectly, in your wallet. But that's the way it is in my world. Plenty of your competitors permit vaping in their stores. I choose to patronize them instead.

I voted!...the added expense of air filtration would kill it for sure!...Whatever smell coming from vaper is not nearly as offensive as people wearing strong perfume...I don't see
that being banned...just sayin'...:)

I voted and left a comment. And about the smell, you would really have to have a magnificent scnozz to decern the coffee smell with any vapour from PVs.

Oh My!,I have been following the SB thread with astonishment and trepidation! I can believe they want to send us out there with the smokers? We are not even in the same club, and the smokers know that! To bad about those bone head troll interupting the SB suggestion thread without any rhyme or reason why!! Everybody Please vote, we can stop this "tabu" before it becomes law by simply standing up for ourselves! One Coffee Shop at a Time!!

I have a Phase II idea to bring more attention to this if anyone is up for it. Their Facebook page has over 23 million likes. We might be able to get more votes by posting our comments on their Facebook page with a link to the idea. Is anyone up for it? Because Facebook does require your real identities, I will understand if you don't want to do it. I have a slight affiliation with their company, so I am going to do it using my 'alternate' FB page, but I think we have to do this in numbers for it to get enough exposure. I know it seems like a lot of work, but it's worth it! And I know I'm preaching to the choir, ha ha! I would very much like to know everyone's thoughts on this idea.
