ok so I ripped apart an auto DSE801, I'm wanting to replace the battery (since the mosfet is fine), cuz it's dead, but I'm not sure what li-ion battery would replace it. So I'll post all I know about it.

Markings: 08570 1.00Wh
LDO98802

I tried to measure it and this is a rough idea on size:

54mm - 56mm long
7mm (ish) diameter

The closest thing I have come close to replacing this cell is a AAAA or 1/2 AAA, but they only come in NiCd and NiMh.

Anyone know of a rechargeable Li-ion (protected preferably) that is close to the dimensions above or would fit in the shell of a DSE801 auto?

Thanks!

Is that you Shan B, seen a couple of your videos.

I can tell you something about this lithium battery.
08570 indicates a cylindrical battery that is 8mm in diameter and 57mm in length.
There is tolerance so it may very well actually measure slightly larger or smaller.
The battery should deliver 1 Watt Hour of power before crapping out.
Usually batteries are marked with a milliAmp Hour rather than Watt Hour rating.
Keep this in mind during your adventures, Amps are not the same thing as Watts.
You may need to convert units.
This is not a popular standard size battery, you will not find them at Radio Shack or even a Lighthound type web store.
You will need to look for a supplier on the internet that sells batteries to manufacturers of electronic devices.
You should be able to get replacements but you will have to really do some research.
Oh yeah, you may discover that its not even worth the time, money and effort before your through.

I'm finished
Hope I helped
Good Luck Shan B
Maybe you'll make a video of this?

Yes this is me, LOL. Okay, so... is there any battery on the market that is about this same size that is Li-ion and would power 3.7V with no probs?

If all else fails I'll just turn this into a 3.7V usb passthru or use the parts for another mod.

And yes, my searching google, wiki, ask, bing, etc.. FAIL... nothing I can find related to this batt.

I'm trying to rebuild dead systems, so I can eventually PIF them to people in need and give them to my friends who are curious about vaping vs smoking. So, I'm looking for a cell that will power this 901 mosfet, fit in the shell/casing without needing modded.

I did find some camera/camcorder batteries that contain these cells, gonna look into it. so for I found the Lenmar battery packs which most have 4 of the batteries I'm lookin for inside the unit they sale. So I might look further into those. I think you were right, unless I find the manufacturer of these it's not likely I'll find them.
