Help to choose eGo battery

Hi. I found there is a lot very similar compact eGo batteries, but most known is:
  • IPOW 2 ( Tempetature Control System + Wattages Adjustalbe:3W-12W )
  • Evod VV ( 3.2-4.8V )
  • Vision spinner II (3.3V-4.8V)
  • iTaste VV V3.0
  • Ego-CTwist
The prices almost the same, but IPOW 2 looks like absolutley winner with high wattage and
TC feature.

What I miss there? Any suggestions from guru?

p.s.

I already have istick 40W TC and it's great! :)
But my friends, when see my istick - asking me, what they can buy as starter kit, not too expensive.

So, I make some research and can't find answer for this question: what to recommend, if they don't want to spend too much for first e-cig.

So, what to buy:
below 20W consequently cheap, but valuable for money?

hi @skywinder. I have been through the Spinner 2 eGo style batteries myself. In one month or less I was looking for something better, as the Spinner or even the IPOW is very limiting in what you can enjoy with vape. I would suggest getting a mod like the iStick 30(2200 mah) or 40 (2600 mah with TC) watt, coolfire IV(2000 mah), etc, and an Aspire Nautilus Mini tank for a high quality vape and room to grow. With any of these mods you can easily grow or experience the sub ohm world should you decide to down the road. With the iStick 40 watt you can use the temperature control function as well.

I couldn't find an IPOW with temp control, and the one I looked at goes to 15 watts (1600 mah). For a few dollars more you can have a mod to grow with.

My journey, Nautilus Mini on Spinner 2 in center and iStick 50 w on right. (The Nautilus really shined on the iStick as compared to the spinner)

Good luck in your decisions.

I would not consider a maximum of 12 watts to be "high wattage", but if you are a tootle puffer (low wattage, normal resistance vaper) it will be more than sufficient.

Here''s a review: IPOW 2

@Sir2fyablyNutz yay! It's really good and well explained answer! THank you!
Ok, I updated topic to clarify, what I'm asking:
I already have iStick 40W TC, it's my first e-cig and it's great, exactly, how you said! :)

To tell the truth I'm asking for my friends - they see my iStick and asking, what they can buy as starter kit, not too expensive.

So, I make some research and can't find answer for this question: what to recommend, if they don't want to spend too much for first e-cig. Something below 20W and cheeper.
So, have you got any recommendations in <20W mods?

If they are simply wanting to buy something to try it out to see if they like it then go as cheap as you can. It's how I started. But the drawback is that as soon as the battery needs to charge and you can't vape you'll want a back up, and end up spending more money. I had 3 of the very cheap blister pack vapes before I found ECF and read about what was available. "If I had known" I wouldn't have wasted the 80 dollars + to get satisfaction to keep me off the cigs.

If I were recommending the eGo style then any of the ones you listed would work. I think they were all in the 1600 mah area. Then I'd suggest a tank with a 2.2 ohm coil, something that won't eat the battery as fast. Whatever they get, odds are it will be the backup for them when they decide to upgrade.

The price difference between a 20 watt mod and a 30 watt mod is probably around 5 dollars. The price between the eGo and a 30 w mod is probably 10 dollars, perhaps 15 if you shop around. I don't know of any 20 watt mod that I'd recommend, though I know they still make them. The iStick 20 watt has some issues that were corrected in the 30 watt, for probably 5 dollars more. Totally worth it.

Good luck.

What about the Ego ONE? It's a pen style with great battery life & cheap as a starter kit. I think it's a great set up & im ordering one of the new VT versions they just announced.
Yes, it's good one, a little bit expensive, that in my list, but really value for money. The only thing, that I'm worry is - it's not VV.

The IPOW has an "internal temperature control system" which I don't think has anything to do with "temperature control" of the vape itself. It would certainly be unprecedented for that style of battery. Otherwise, nice for a compact stick unit, but not that cheap. I also think a straight eGo connector, rather than 510 and adapter, is more rugged for pure portable use.

I mainly use rebuildable, which need just a bit more battery than that, or original EVOD clearomizers, which need some rudimentary voltage control but otherwise don't need much of a battery, so something more pocket-friendly is fine.

The cheapest decent unit I know of is this: https://www.myfreedomsmokes.com/sta...tage-blister-pack-cheap-ecig-starter-kit.html ... however you will need to grab some proper Kanger coils for it (2.2 or 2.5 ohm) as the ones they're coming with now probably shouldn't even be attempted to use, very easily burnt.

    Great! Thanks for suggestion!
And what about EVOD 2 clearomizer or T3S? As I can see it was released year ago, bug EVOD still more popular that EVOD 2. And what interesting, how it is in comparasion with Kanger T3S? Also, looking for T3S. it's twice bigger, and with same coil as EVOD.

I have an EVOD 2, but so far I have been impressed with it with one juice only, and I didn't compare that in the regular EVOD. It is cleaner tasting but less flavor overall and greater juice consumption.

There are other tanks for the single coil, I have a mini Protank 2, the glass is good for a juice that will crack plastic, but on many flavors, especially anything tobacco, the plain generic EVODs are surprising. So different tank versions get different results -- with the same coil! I haven't tried the T3S though.
