ok i'm totally new.. ordered a bunch (5) different clearomizers....
evod
t3s
iclear16
Vision v3
t2

help me out here...

so bottom coils don't have wicks? is that correct?
top coils have wicks?

i would assume bottom coils are easier to clean?
is that correct.

how does this bottom vs top affect flavor, heat, vape?

Which do you prefer? bottom coil or top coil? why?

is there a difference between the kanger EVOD and T3S?
other than the obvious size, color and markings... duh (haha)
is one a better quality over the other?

thanks!

both have wicks the bottom coils are cut short, top coils can get a dry hit if you dont tilt to get the wicks wet when the juice level gets low in the tank , bottom coils dont give dry hits ,top coils give a warmer vape than bottom coils, both are easy to clean with very little practice evod and protank use the same heads ive never used T3S so i cant advise hope this helps

ok seems to me that with the vv i can kinda control the warmth of the vape.
my first hour or so messing with it though.

unfortunately i put a different flavor in each one.
i wish i had put the same flavor in all of them so that i could feel the difference.

so really right now because i forgot the new juices have to steep...
all i could tell were which ones had a airy feel on the inhale.

thanks for the info :)

Bottom coils have wicks, but they are short stubby little wicks. Depending on the clearo, you may not be able to see them at all unless you disassemble the clearo. You can probably see them at the bottom of the T3s, but won't see them at all in an Evod or even a ProTank unless you take it apart.

top coils have wicks?

Yup - in all sorts of long and short variations.

i would assume bottom coils are easier to clean?
is that correct.

IMO - yes. Depending on how a top coil clearo is constructed cleaning can be very limited or next to impossible.

how does this bottom vs top affect flavor, heat, vape?

Oh jeez - this falls under the category of "it's subjective." Some people feel that a top coil produces a warmer vape, just because the coil is closer to the mouth piece. Personally, I don't find a noticeable difference in this regard. Ditto with the flavor issue. Considering the relatively low price of clearos this comes down to trying a few different types and finding what you like best. You will probably find the resistance of the coil in the thing affects the overall performance far more than if the coil is at the top or the bottom.

Which do you prefer? bottom coil or top coil? why?

Bottom bottom bottom. Just for the fact that if there is liquid in there it pretty much works. With top coils there is too much fusing and fiddling needed to get the liquid at the bottom to the coil at the top.

Overall? Not really. The vape experience will largely be the same. You're picking the difference between "pretties" here. Do note however that the EVOD and T3s use different coils. They are manufactured slightly differently and swapping the coils between the two devices may result in leaking.

De nada! :D

thanks so much for this! great feedback.
So far i'm really enjoying the kanger T2 on my spinner.
the juice i put in my t3s is gross lol.
but i like the idea of no wicks to clean especially since i'm trying out flavors...

its hard to get some nasty juices out of the wicks.
prolly won't be as big of a problem once i get down what i like.

one note:
i did notice that you have to be careful unscrewing bottom coiled clearomizers...
not paying attn a few minutes ago i spilled juice all over the place!

Well if the wick didn't hold onto liquids it wouldn't be doing it's job. Let's get you started on Kanger cleaning 101:

All the Kanger bottom coils have the same basic construction. Since you probably didn't use the T3s all that much it just needs a simple cleaning. The easiest thing to do is remove the base - leave the coil in it - and and put it in a small pan of simmering water, eGo threading side down. The simmering water will percolate through the base and up through the vent tube. Only takes 1 - 2 minutes in the water tops. Fish it out - this is where long metal tweezers or forceps come in in handy. When it's cool enough to handle blow blow blow through the connector end to get as much water out as you can. The prudent will allow to dry thoroughly. The impatient will have several weak vapes until the water in the wick is replaced by your liquid.

Of course NEVER put the plastic T3s or metal EVOD liquid tube in simmering water. Just rinse those out with hot tap water.

Yeah - it only takes once. lol

Good thing to do: When you TURN IT OVER (lol) to unscrew the base you may get a couple drops of liquid dripping out of the mouthpiece. When you unscrew it and break any vacuum that can happen. Just get in the habit of putting a folded up piece of paper towel over the mouth piece to catch any liquid that may come out when you take off the base.
