Hi, I'm a newbie to this forum, hence the posting here.
I have been vaping for about 4 weeks now.
On a whim I tried a disposable and went from 1.5 packs a day to 4 analog cigarettes a day on the first day of using. This was a whim, I had no intentions of quitting or cutting down, it just worked that way.
I have tried the following electronic cigarettes, greensmartlivng, e-cigs, and Apollo. I am currently using the Apollo extreme. I like the hardware and the follow up service is on a par with what I provided for my customers when I was in the work force. (retired)
This is like a new toy for me. I have gone from pre loaded cartomizers, to reusing cartomizers, to filling blank cartomizers with custom flavors. I tend to prefer VG over PG.
I am now creating my own herbal tincture.
My question is, when using my tincture should I mix it with a base (pg/vg) or drip it straight into the cartomizer?
Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated. Thanks

generally it would need to be suspended in PG/VG for it to atomize properly with the way electronic cigarettes are set up, as far as tinctures go, it also depends on what the tincture consists of and what is currently suspending the tincture in terms of a liquid base, many liquids will need to be blended with the PG/VG and then steeped to run off most of the excess alcohols in the flavorings along with any other types of impurities...we'd totally need more information before we could help you completely, however i can point you to getting your five posts and then moving on to the DIY forums and asking around in their, as they may know a bit more about the suspension of tinctures

Thanks for the reply.
I hope a reply adds to my necessary posts.
My tincture is a mixture of herbs and 100 proof vodka. I am using the cold processing method.

yes replies count.

the herbs you mention i'm guessing would suspend/absorb into vodka? i know a few out there require some other types of chemical reaction to break down into a liquid...some break down in oil as the molocules bind to lipids....

anyways if it is vodka based and assuming the tincture would absorb the herbs (much like if you were drinking an herbal-infused vodka) then in that case yes, it would work suspended in a pg/vg mixture...though the alcohol would thin the mix a bit and you would most likely need to steep the mixture for a few days to allow the alcohol to evaporate, allowing the PG and VG to harmonize with the molocules left behind from the components of the tincture not evaporated with the alcohol

Herbs... lol

i won't jump to conclusions on what herbs, especially since the herb which cannot be mentioned in this forum cannot be properly solved in vodka, knowing this i gave him the information he requested :)

in all seriousness though i do have a few herbal vapes i've picked up, one i like in particular was kind of an herbal tea/eucalyptus flavored vape called relax from dfwvapor....pretty good stuff. i can see a market for it....so if they can market it, i'm sure that you could also DIY
