Hi all! Not new to vaping but new to this problem. One of my fave e-liquids is killing my 2.2 ohm Evod heads! It's a 5-star vanilla custard, 18 mg, 80/20. Within a day, the evod clogs. I haven't had this problem with any other liquids and I can't figure out why or what the solution might be. I really really really want to keep vaping this juice but I can't afford to have to change heads every day. Any ideas? Thanks very much, and TGIF!

80/20 is a pretty high VG ratio for a Kanger. VG is much thicker than PG, so it's harder for it to wick. Unless the e liquid you're using is made in a higher PG blend, you may have to find another. I'd look for ones around 50/50, maybe 60/40.

Alternatively, you could add use distilled water or grain alcohol to thin it out. It will dilute the flavoring and nic levels a bit, but should definitely help with wicking. Add only 1 drop at a time though, both water and alcohol go a long way in thinning out VG.

Hi, Noprah, and welcome to ECF!

As daleron said, you can clean out the heads. You can also rebuild these (and get significantly better performance out of them once you get the knack). In any case, save the ones you're done with. Even if rebuilding them isn't something you want to do now, you might change your mind!

I am a little curious as to exactly what you mean by "clogs". Do you mean you aren't getting any vapor, or you're getting gurgling, or you're not getting much airflow, or you're getting no taste/bad taste?

Sorry, I should have been more clear...it is 80 PG/ 20 VG (my preference for all e-liquids) which is why this is such a head-scratcher to me!

Thanks, I will give all suggestions a try!

Not getting much airflow, and have to draw really hard, almost like a thick milkshake through a straw. No gurgling, and the flavor and vapor are fine.

I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure I read that clogging/leaking and gurgling were some trade marks of the evod and we're addressed in the evod2 which is what I started vaping on and found it worked well. I've never tried the evod1 though and I'd assume you have had no problems with other juices so this info may be useless to ya lol
