Hello
I am new to mods, I just recently bought this eVic-VTC mini with TRON tank. This is my first mod, upgraded from a standard EGO pen.
So I have NO clue on how to use this thing, I have seen many videos, but I still dont get it.
Right now I have it set at 15W in power mode, however if I go any higher it makes a hissing sound, and occasionally a bubble of hot liquid pops out. Not to mention the leakage around the first ring... Is this normal?? How can I set it, starting from a configuration similar to a EGO e cig?
Sorry for being such a noob...

I believe that kit only comes with two temp control coils. One ni200 and one titanium. You must use the temperature control feature on the mod. I suggest putting in the titanium head. Switch the mod over by tapping the fire button 3 times quickly - it will then flash... While it's flashing press the smaller button on the right and it will cycle through the different modes.Stop on "temp Ti" ... press fire button to lock in. Once locked in the smaller bottom buttons will then adjust temperature. I vape at 480 on those coils...good luck- David

Thanks for answering! I changed to the Ti head, its not leaking anymore! Thanks again! But is it normal for it to have no flavor?

Hi @MarcelaS , and welcome to the ECF forums! You have a GREAT little mod, but I'm afraid I have no experience with the tank you have.

I think you've already gotten excellent advice, so let me just say how happy I am that you found this place, and I am looking forward to seeing you around!

Just in case you need it easily available, you can download the manual for the Evic VTC Mini here:

download - Joyetech

Hissing is good! No flavor is bad. I bought the eVic mini VTC and actually had to beg them not to sell me the kit with any Joyetech tank. Having been totally unfair on Joyetech (cheap shot) I'll grudgingly grant the tank should be ok, but you need to match the best atomizer for your needs. The low resistance temp coils are not best suited to low power vaping and vice versa. If you want to recreate the eGo experience on a quality mod (for reliability & battery life) you'll need higher resistance MTL coils and possibly a more 'tootle' tank.

The Tron tank is really an updated version of the Ego One tank. I use and prefer the 1.0 ohm CLR coils as I think they leak less. I like lower watts in the 8-10 watt range in power mode.

One thing that may effect flavor is air flow. It's impossible to see because the air flow control is hidden on the Tron. Turn the bottom ring all the way one way (I think to the right as you look straight at it) and it is fully closed...then all the way in the opposite direction and it's fully open. A lot of air mixed in the vapor can weaken the flavor. So you may play with the airflow until you find what you like.

I bought two of those guys. Love them. The tanks that came with them though, not a big fan. Have since regulated them to test tanks for trying new flavors. Instead I have a Tesla Vortek on one and Uwell Crown on the other. To me its night and day difference in flavor. Have you updated the firmware on them yet? The newest one is 3.0 I believe and gives you up to 75W and changes the screen little.
