Hello, all. New to actually posting here at ECF, but you guys have inadvertently gotten me into all kinds of spending messes. Basically, I wound up with a sigelei #19 from vaportek with no glue or magnets. I don't want to do anything unpleasant to it that can't be undone, and I have rounded up a few questions.
Is there any downside to filing down the delrin on the button? Mine misfires on occasion and just has a super long throw that has too much side-to-side play. Sometimes if my button-press isn't attentive enough, it goes all the way in on one side and still doesn't fire.
I currently have a rubber washer around the brass pin inside the delrin to shorten the throw, but it's not night-and-day. Does it matter what material is between the delrin and the brass? Can it affect conductivity?
FINALLY: the important bit. I feel like the top spring )which is larger toward the 510 connection and much smaller where it contacts the battery) is hindering conductivity and is bent. I like to use this mod in 18350 mode and it would break my heart if i removed the spring and couldn't operate it without it.
And does anyone know where I can get a more ideal spring to put between the button and the delrin on the bottom? I'd like one maybe a bit stiffer. Wondering if certain other high end mods' buttons could be interchanged with the Sig #19 to avoid the hassle. Thanks for any and all advice, guys!
