One of the main reasons why I switched to mechanical was for the ease of tinkerablity (if that's even a word)... After watching some videos and getting an idea of what to do and how this thing works (pretty basic). I went ahead and started modding.

So this is pretty much my lug around everyday mod. Running a IGO-L on a sigelei 19 in the shortest mode with a 18350 battery.

Me being me... I couldn't wait for my flattop batteries to come in on Monday so Saturday I went to buy some button top batteries and they worked great without the spring (kind of took out the original top cap spring and chucked it...):(. Come Monday at work, I sanded down magnet on the firing button (which was a dope on my part...) and put an oring to shorten the throw and begin to have some misfires. I come home and try out a flattop battery and the mod does not fire... :?: Tuesday I fiddle around more with the mod and could not come to any conclusions so I just ran the button tops.:glare: Today I finally figured out what to do and this is what I came up with... it's not anywhere near pretty but no more misfires and my mod works in the shortest configuration with buttons and flats. (It's probably not a huge deal but it's a win in my book)

That's pretty much everything function wise. I work as a tech in the airsoft industry so I took a broken copper/brass bushing and instead of gluing it into the part where the magnet goes soldered it in place. I shouldn't have sanded the magnet down in the first place which caused a lot of my misfires and also not allowing the flat tops to work in the mod but whatever, I learned from that mistake and brass/copper is better in my opinion. The spring is also a part on an airsoft gun that I torched, shortened, and then quenced in cold water. All this together inside the bottom cap shortens and lightens my throw but won't fire if put down. For the top cap I cut down a brass screw and made a genki spring to keep the flattops from rattling inside.

I also saw that someone had sanded flat the round top portion of the cap kind of like the Nzonic cap. So hey I also had a bench grinder... still need to wetsand it with 600 and 1000 but I need to go buy some. But it works for now.

Now this is how the IGO-L sits on my Sigelei.

I'm rather happy with the results, no more misfires and I am able to run flattops and buttontops with no issues. :D If anyone has questions or comments please feel free! Be nice I'm new!
