Oh my gosh so don't laugh (even though I am...still quite a newb here)...but I seriously have no idea how to use what I ordered. Wanted to do some dripping so got recommendations from y'all for a 306 atty from Empire mods https://www.empiremods.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=EM3068 ...okay so I only got that black piece laying down in the background of the pic. It's not like the other cheapy atty I used before, which was open and I dripped liquid directly on it. It's just a closed black tube with a tiny hole and the top and the 510 connection on the bottom. How on earth do I use this thing? LOL. Initial thoughts are insert liquid with a syringe? Then puff? Idk! Thanks for your help and not teasing me for my stupidity in advance! :D

For best results you will probably want a drip shield (prevents leakage and can provide a tiny reservoir of juice), a 306 drip tip and a, sealed, 510-510 extender (accommodates the drip shield). The extender goes on first. Then your atomizer screws into the extender. Next you attach your drip tip to the atomizer (goes in place of the black cover you have now). Finally, your drip shield slides over the whole thing. You will want the drip shield to cover the entire extender and a good portion of the drip tip. When it's all connected you drip 5-10 drops of juice directly into the drip tip and vape away. At least that was the setup when I dripped .

Only to be used with a 306 Drip Tip (atomizer comes with a sheath cover, remove and replace with your own 306 Drip Tip). Maybe you need to have your own drip tip. If so then I would guess that what you got was just the heating element part atomizer thingy and the black part is nothing more than a sheath. Heck I don't have a clue but for some reason I want one now:?:

That's an easy one, it's a thingy. Does the black part slide off and if so does it have material to hold juice? If so I think that's were to fill it.

I tried that before I posted this and could not get it off with ease. With your comment I hooked it up to my battery and then tried to remove the black part which DID slide off that time. Thanks!

Read the post by ruet #3 post. He seems to know about it.
Seems like you will need an extender and a drip tip at least.

Yeah, I was just wondering if the shield was NEEDED for use or just helped keep a mess at bay :) I never used a shield before just a tip. That post was very helpful! Just trying to get it going asap. Wonder if my local B&M has 306 drip tips.

You can start without one but you will WANT to get one ASAP. ...to keep the anger (and mess) bay.
