Ive been vaping my 510 for 7 weeks now, its been good but recently my atties(2) on all of em taste metal like when vaping i cant really taste the flavors i put on em sort of like burnt taste... So i did more researching i heard cartomizers were better. This Friday i can buy 20 cartomizers(boge and joye brand),ejuices and drip tip at ecignot for around 60 or should i just get a Ego C from craigslist for 50??? Then upgraded to a twist in a week. I dont know what to do the 510 has serve me good i even recently got a PCC for it... But im lost here.. What would u do? Upgrade to EgoC or get cartomizers for the 510? Which i havent used yet...

JellieBean,

Congrats on your success story!

I personally would not pursue anything on Craiglist for various reasons.

The cartomizers and juice option sounds much better for a quick fix to keep you going - they will perform very well on the twist.

In the meantime browse the forums and check out what others are doing such as using attys, tanks and favored juices.

Vape On!

I would clean the atomizers while you wait/decide.

Clean them one at a time so you don't have two down at once.
Unscrew em and run hottest tap water through them for a few minutes. Or you can soak em in a mug of boiling water (use tongs!). Blow it out and repeat rinse.

Blow it out real well. Dry off the threads. Maybe try a "warm burn" by puffing on it a bit but DON'T inhale. Just get the coil to evaporate the water a bit. Not too dry...don't stress the coil.

Add 4 drops of juice right in the atty. Vape it (probably not inhaling) until you start getting normal performance.

There's 100 cleaning methods. This is easiest IMO.

If you've been using two attys for 7 weeks, they need to be cleaned like Atty said, or replaced. And I'd definately say, get some cartos and juice, don't need 20cartos at a time, but don't get another battery until you get a new twist, since the vv capability will allow you to adjust the taste of your vapes. Anything you use, atty/carto/tank will be better on a twist over your 510 or a ego-c.

If you got 7 weeks out of your attys, definitely get a couple new ones!!
That's great longevity for an atty....I destroyed a bunch learning.

Clean the ones you have as AttyPops said, (he's an atty expert)
and get some cartos and maybe one of the CE type clearos to try out.

Trying one or two new style cartos or attys is always fun, and reasonably
cheap compared for smokes.

Only 2 atties for 7 weeks?

As others have said, clean them AND buy more atties as back-ups. Atties do wear out and need to be replaced regularly.

If this combo had served you well before they started getting dirty/worn out, there's no need to go searching for something else - unless you just want to for fun, of course.

I especially would advise against the cartos on 510 batteries. I know that some people like them. But, I think most people aren't satisfied with SR cartos on 510 batts. And, since you really shouldn't use LR on those little batteries, it would be better to wait until you get bigger batteries before you start experimenting with cartos. Especially if you really need not to blow any money on something that might not work well.

Cleaning and replacing atties should get you back up and running. Then you can look around and see what you might like to upgrade to next. Maybe a couple of Twists, some 2.0 ohm cartos, a Vivi Nova, some CE3's, or whatever.
