Hey guys! I'm relatively new to vaping (2 weeks off the stinkies.. Yeah!) and brand new to this forum so thanks for having me.

A friend hooked me up with a vision spinner 2 and a couple of kanger t3s to start me off along with 10ml of max VG juice. I've since ordered some 70/30 pg/vg juice on the advice of the internets but have found that PG is not for me (seems to leave a harsh/spicy taste in my mouth on exhale aswell as an uspset stomach)
So I've made a new order for juices that are 20/80 pg/vg aswell as lower nicotine as that may be the culprit for the burning mouth.

I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions on a clearomizer that handles thicker/higher VG juices?
I've browsed through a heap of forums and I am very much aware that clearo's are not the best for vaping VG juices as they clog up the coils pretty quick but honestly I'm not too concerned about having to replace my coils more often than not as it will still be a whole lot cheaper than the $40 a day I was spending on analog cigs.

Also I am not really looking to move to cartos or dripping atomisers at this stage. I know that it's much better for VG but I've only been doing this for 2 weeks and clearo's are working for my current situation. I will probably move to another setup in the future but just want to stick to clearo's for now.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Hi and welcome.

You will have problems with max VG juice in a clearo. Most likely the upset stomach and peppery taste is just due to too high of nicotine. You might try one of the Kanger subtanks with a higher ohm coil (1.5 ohm) for that spinner battery. Those tanks/coils have a larger juice opening so will work better with higher VG juices, but probably not well enough for max VG.

If you're interested, the Kanger Subox mini kit comes with a Kanger subox 50 watt mod and a Subtank. You would only need to get a few batteries and charger. It's a good setup.

Hi, thanks for your reply.

That's great I'll have a look into the subtanks now. The juice I have ordered is 20/80 pg/vg, do you think that would be ok for use in subtanks?

I'll also look into the Subox aswell.

As for the peppery taste I am getting, my friend told me that the first juice I tried was 18mg and max VG and was quite smooth, the second juice I tried was 12mg and 70/30 pg/vg and gave me the peppery taste

Do you think something like 6mg with 50/50 ratio would be better to get rid of that awful spice I am tasting?

Thanks again!

You could look into carto tanks. Thats what I use and I vape high VG juices exclusively.

Im using Smoktech 2 hole prepunched cartos from Smoktek.com and they blow any clearo on the market out of the water in terms of flavor. For really thick juices like Bobas Bounty you might want to consider 3 holes.

With high vg juices you simply arent going to find better flavor outside of dripping, an rba or high wattage/insane juice consumption.

You can find them here Single Coil XL Tank Cartomizer for the SmokTank XL | SmokTek.com

And you can also find a cheap plastic tank to try them out here: SmokTank DCT - Dual Coil Cartomizer Tank Tube, 4.5ml | SmokTek.com

Finally if you decide to give carto tanks a try, take some time to view my good friend Baditudes guide to setting up a carto tank here: (5) Baditude's Cartomizer Tank Setup Guide | E-Cigarette Forum

You'll be glad you did.

Thanks for all the info!

I definitely want to look into cartos, it's just that I'm new to this and it all seems a bit daunting and clearos seem so simple lol. I'm sure it's much simpler than what I'm making it out to be.

This info helps a lot though so I'll definitely check out the links you've provided, thanks very much!

Youre welcome!

They do have a higher learning curve but once you get it down its simplicity in itself. I can set up and prime a new carto in under 2 minutes.

Then its basically worry free for 2-3 weeks.

I would try 6 - 12 mg nicotine with that. If 12 is giving you a queasy stomach go for 6.

Thanks for that.

I've ordered some 12mg juice with a 50/50 ratio from VaporFi and also some 6mg juice with 20/80 ratio so I'll try them out and see what suits my taste.

While I have you I was wondering if I could bother you for some suggestions on good e juice? I'm basically looking for sweet flavours without that spicy aftertaste and a good amount of vapor production, I'mnot overly concerned about throat hit. Sorry for all the questions.. I really appreciate the replies!

Cheap nicotine has a "peppery" taste. So depending on what brand of juice you buy, that may account for this taste.

Thanks I'll keep that in mind

The liquid I ordered was from VaporFi but it did have higher amounts of nic (18mg)

Any suggestions on some good quality juice?

I'm after sweeter flavours with a nice vapor production? And I am quite happy to go down to 6-12mg of Nic.

If I can find a nice flavoured juice without the peppery taste I would happily use higher PG juices and save my clearo coils from clogging

Cheers

Try Nicoticket. I love their Frenilla and Doodle is also good.

@Susan~S turned me on to Ahlusion's Lemon Vanilla Cake. It's very good. Sweet, tart, and cakey. They have lots of flavors to choose from

Sub tanks with nickel coils handle high vg without problem, even for chain vapors like me

yeah but how much juice do you burn through in a day sub=ohming?

Not everyone wants the added expense or the hassle of that, especially just starting out.

Where are you located?

If you have vape shops in your area I highly recommend you visit them and try the juice they carry. Most vape shops (in the US) have flavor testing bars and many of them are also carry major brand juice as well as their house brand/blend.

When I'm not DIYing, Ahlusion is my go-to vendor for juice. Ahlusion does fruit & tea vapes very well. They are the only line of juice I have found that I love more than 2-3 of their offerings.

I also LOVE Omega Vapes Breeze (peach/cantaloupe blend), Cosmic Fogs Milk & Honey, Ripe Vapes Pear Almond and One Hit Wonders Muffin Man.

Giant Vapes and EJuices are great places to shop when looking to pick up flavors from multiple high quality vendor lines of juice.

Did you like any of the other flavors you tried? I am still aging some of the flavors I received (they were high VG).

I am in Australia where unfortunately it is illegal to sell nicotine juice

So I've wasted a fair bit of cash on juices that don't suit my needs, not to mention waiting 2-3 weeks for them to arrive and having to pay for international shipping.

Thanks very much for your suggestions! I'll be making some more orders this week so I'll try them out :)
