Is it OK to smoke 100% VG in clearomizers?

Hello everyone,

I am new to this forum and kind of new to vaping. A few months ago I switched to smoking e-cigarettes and started with Dekang e liquid which is mainly PG.
I recently ordered Velvet Cloud VG liquid and only have a cheap & simple clearomizer.
At this point I can't afford an RTA, rda device and have heard that it doesn't work well when smoking 100% VG juice on clearomizers.

Your thoughts?

The rule of thumb is to use no more than 10% "distilled water" (available in grocery stores for about 99 cents a gallon). If you try high VG I would take a small amount and start with just a few drops of the distilled water. VG wicks much slower than PG because it is so thick, so it doesn't work as well in the inexpensive clearomizers.

However, it WILL work just fine if you take long, slow, draws. I use VG liquids, the flavors of course, being in PG, so mine aren't 100% VG, but they're still pretty thick. I use them just fine in my tanks with 1.8 or 2.2 ohm coils at about 7 to 7.5 watts. I just have to draw slowly, so the juice has a chance to keep up, if you see what I mean. The only time I've ever had a burnt taste is when I tried to go too fast. Had to learn to pace myself... ;)

I've only been vaping since Sept 7th, 2015 but I've bought around 2,500ml since the start date.

Some of my e-liquids are MAX-VG, such as the Ahlusion MAX-V: Godfather & Mellon Berry Frost. I do not know what the % VG/PG is but there have been no issues so far with using the clearomizers from Aspire (Atlantis II and Triton), which have Pyrex glass tanks. I've heard from users online here that I should add a few drops of distilled water if I have any issues, but I have not yet.
