Help with a decision about a genesis style atomizer

Cheers everyone. I have been researching Genesis RBA's for quite a while now and am about ready to take the leap, but I have some precautions. I have been a strict dripper for about a year. Currently running with a Nimbus and a Vicious Ant Cyclone atop my UDC Trident. I have my air holes drilled out quite a bit and am pretty proficient when it comes to re-building. I have been researching the Kayfun Lite, Prometheus by Grand Vapor, and the AC9 by Vapinaze. I already know that when the AL-1 becomes available I will get that, just cause.

But with the Kayfun Lite I am a little weary because I keep reading that people like the Russian just as much, if not more. I am a zero-clone kind of guy. I feel that there is no substitution for a artists work. Also, seeing as I have drilled out my holes in my RDA's, how tight is the draw? I like it to be quite airy.

On the side of the Prometheus and the AC9, they are just expensive. I realize already that I would need to get the new glass tank along with the AC9, making an $120 atomizer into an $165 atomizer. Along with that I know that glass tanks are more reliable, or the boroscilate tanks to be more precise.

Are there any others that I should be looking at? And yes I know of the Kraken, but I would like a little more to come out about it before I take that jump. And my researching abilities are a little limited right now because my ship has blocked youtube and videos while we are on deployment, so I am stuck searching for written reviews and pictures.

I have been using genisis style mods for quite some time & finally got a Kayfun Lite this past Monday. All I can say is I like it so much I already ordered another one! The flavor is amazing from the Kayfun & it was very easy to build. I've always used Zen's up until recently & they are known for their airy draw. The Kayfun does not feel much different, as far as draw goes, so you may be just fine with it.

There are so many options out there now a days & everyone has their own preferences, so I hope you're able to find that perfect something thst works for you!

Ill start by letting you know, kayfuns are AMAZING. I have 2 and another kayfun style hybrid (mister silica v3). They are easy to set up (with some reading and rba knowledge. Most kayfuns are frequent wrapped around 1 ohm (debatably). The flavor and satisfaction are there with out a doubt. In my opinion, kayfun/taifun styles are easy to build. Genesis however can be a good amount more difficult. I mostly only vape either kayfun/genesis (retired drippers about 6 months ago so I feel you ).
I love genesis because it's a constant challenge with a lot of variations and new ideas coming out almost daily. My personal favorite genesis (this week) is siting on too of my Romuluz hybrid by Team Hot Wire.
It had a reduced aircap for flavor and throat hit, over flow well, dual or single coil set up and they are set of to tilt and saturate both coils even. You can completely removable tank (without ruining your build) and silver contacts. They retail from 200 to 260 depending on the vendor. Seriously the most efficient and satisfying genesis I have had in a good while.

Do some research and if you can get your hands on one, GO FOR IT.

It out preformed my Prometheus with a dual coil by so far. Sold my Prometheus and bought another kayfun life with an m-tank.

No, thanks for the rambling. Appreciate as much info as I can get. If you don't mind me asking, where are you getting all of your kayfuns from. I know vaperev has them, just wondering if there might be some more options at better prices...

I feel like the KFL has a pretty airy draw. TBH, the Russian has a MSRP that is pretty much the same as the KFL, anyways and is harder to get. One of the advantages over Genesis style attys is that the KFL won't leak. The flavor is not as good as SS mesh, but a very close second. The Prometheus and the AC9 both look very promising too, but I have not personally used either.

You really cant go wrong with any of the genny's you are listing but before you go too far into your research I would pick up a solid, inexpensive genny first just to make sure you like that style anyway. An AGA-T would be just that and you can tinker with it and decide if genny's are even your thing. At the end of the day they are all dependant on your build and device you screw them on to. All that said I would suggest the Origin over the Prometheus and its on par with the Kraken but you can actually find an Origin. The Pulse G is getting really good reviews as well. But in my experience especially with those who prefer dripping, gennys arent for everyone and before you spend near $200 on one I'd make sure you are really going to enjoy them.

I think that is good advice....I vaped an aga-t2 for a long time it was a great genny to learn the ropes on, and i have to say I really like my kayfun lite alot kayfuns are especially good for vaping ceramics on.there is a new aga-t being put out by youde the aga-t3....it is a really good atty. it's only drawback is that it has a very small tank so you have to refill often, and the wick is in the center of the atty so it's a bit diffrent setting it up than traditional gennys. but it has a really reduced top cap, so the flavor and vapor are both very good. it is about 50.00 a bit more than a cheap atty, but cheap compared to high end gennys. I got lucky and got one for 30.00at cov,I prefer it to my aga-t2.....todd's reviews reviewed it recently and he liked it alot too.....I would also recommend trying out a cheaper genny before jumping to a fogatti, or rocket, or kracken, or even Zatty. I really like my kayfun, but for whatever reason I also enjoy the vape I get from a genny.also building wicks and coils on a genny are a bit more demanding then most dripper are used to, and some drippers get fustrated, but if you can just get past the learning curve it's really all down hill.....after vaping gennys for over a year I just now have gotten to the point of buying my first high end genny........A pulse g. but I've had great vapes on inexpensive gennys, good luck.

I can recommend the Kraken. I got one a few weeks ago as my first genny. Only took a couple of days to learn to do a proper build, and it vapes better than any dripper I have.

The materials and construction quality are top shelf. The adjustable air flow system is perfection, and it can completely close one of the two air intakes if you want to do a single-wick build.

Plus, it looks really good on top of a nice mod, if you care about that sort of thing. Which I don't. But if you do, it looks really good.

They are nice but I dont like how the air flow control in under the unit. You have to take the kayfun off to adjust...

Id say go with the Kraken or Prometheus, have both and would highly recommend. Or.... go simple and cheap and get the RSST and wait for the AFC coming out for it..... teehee

Loving the Kraken as well. Minor pet peeve, tho. It has a tendency to gather liquids in the air intake. Very minor, I admit. Looks great on a matte Gus.

Are you a hybrid fan?

I personally really like hybrids. If you can find yourself an iHybrid, I would do so. Its a great genesis vape, and a killer device all around. Ive got two, one of them is the Doc Dave Collab, and if the vape on that is anything like the Doc Dave Steam Turbine itself, I highly suggest looking into it. One of the first times I really enjoyed a dual coil vape. Its become a daily use device for me.

And of course, I cant say hybrid without suggesting the Zenesis 2. Love my Z2. I dont "follow the rules" as it were.. I have no insulator in the wick hole, so I roll a tapered, fat wick, and I dont use 4-5 wraps of 32gauge kanthal, but rather do a more "traditional" 4wrap of 28g. Might be not the "suggested" use, but its a great vape, and I usually have my favorite juice in the Zen. Nice thing about the Z2 hybrids, is they're usually in stock in all the colors and sizes, with new colors coming out.


Ive got a KFL+ in the mail, but otherwise, my only experience with silica is on drippers. I really like silica RDAs, but Idk about the vacuum fed tanks. I assume the KFL+ will be a favorite of mine, but, cant say until I try it.

I've not had that problem at all, but I always leave it standing up. I can't really find one thing to complain about with this thing. The airflow control is just brilliant. A local shop just got a batch in and I'm gonna pick up another when my Neme arrives next week.

BTW, do you know how to break it down for cleaning? Normally I would just figure it out but I'm afraid of screwing this one up.
