I recently bought a cyclone to pair with an old super t precise 16340 mod. The mod doesn't have an adjustable center pin, but I thought the cyclone would from all the pictures I've seen. I was wrong, and I can't make them connect. The cyclone works fine on other mods, so that's not the problem.

What are my options here? Should I try to physically pull out one of the center pins and risk damaging the device? Is there a safe piece of metal I could stick between the pins to gap that extra space without losing much conuctivity?

Any advice appreciated.

Definitely do not use a piece of metal to bridge the gap. You're asking for a short doing that. The center pin of the cyclone is press fit. You can try pressing it out a bit. Remove the screw and use a C-clamp or pliers to press the center pin down from the top. If needed, push it back in. You want it so it's snug enough that it does not spin when the screw is tightened. Hopefully, it will be a little longer and make contact.

Thanks for the reply. I knew the metal idea was a bad one, thank god I didn't try it. I'll give the c-clamp/pliers a shot. I really hope I can get this fixed, the cyclone fits perfectly on my 16340 and works great on other mods.
