I just bought a Woodville from the classifieds & the seller threw in a BF Atomic to help me get started right away. I just realized that I don't have an allen wrench (Ithink that's what it takes), to change the coils. Does anyone know what size I need to get?
Rob did, indeed, swap out the phillips for hex after a few days/weeks of selling the RM4 as the screw heads were quite close together on the posts and there was a perceived risk of shorting.
ok. The AFC collar says Atomic. There are no screws. I used my tweezers & stuck them in the holes where I would expect screws to be & unscrewed them that way to get the coil out. Here's what I have.

Thanks. I assumed Rob had changed the screws. I have another Atomic that I got from Catfish, and that one had Phillips screws. I changed that one to grub screws also.
Ok, I had no luck finding a key to fit this. I took it with me & it's smaller than a 1.5. The 1.5 just sits on top of it. Any ideas? I did get a new coil in it by using the tweezers again.
Don't know if this will help, but it probably depends on what the original source of the atty was. My bf Atomic clone came from Catfish mods... and he replaced the original phillips head screws with grub screws that takes a 1.25mm hex driver. HTH

Since I had dug the Atomic out of deep storage to get the info for you, I decided to revisit it during the night. The "Eating crow" thread tells the story.
