What cells you need is dependent on the power range you intend to use.

It is a 3 cell power device supposedly capable of 300w, at max watts that is pushing any available 18650 cell past a reasonable amp draw.

For up to 60w per cell;
Samsung 30Q 20a CDR
Sony VTC6 19ish a CDR
LG HG2 18ish a CDR

Up to 75w per cell;
Sony VTC5A (must be 'A')
LG HD2

Up to 90w per cell;
LG HB 2, 4 or 6.

I'm looking to buy some batteries for my new mod -
I have the Wismec Gen3 with the Crown Valyrian tank -
Help?
I agree with Topwater Elvis. The choice for a regulated mod always comes down to the wattage you plan on using per battery. With regulated mods (with a chip set), coil resistance is irrelevant. With a mechanical mod (no chip set), the coil resistance and battery amp rating is relevant.

In the interests of keeping things simple:

If you use a good quality 20 amp CDR battery like the Samsung 30Q, or LG HG2, or Sony VTC6 then you are good for 60 watts per battery. If using a 2-battery regulated mod, you're good for 120 watts as you have two batteries. If you are using a 3-battery mod, you're good for 180 watts.

If you use a single 30 amp CDR battery like the LG HB6 you are good up to 90 watts; with a pair of 30 amp CDR batteries you could safely do 180 watts; with three up to 270 watts. Keep in mind all 30 amp 18650 batteries have only 1500 mah capacity, so they will last only half as long per charge as a 20 amp 3000mah battery.

30W-60W:
LG 18650HG2 3000mah 20 amp CDR
LG 18650HE2 2500 mah 20 amp CDR
Samsung 18650 30Q, 3000 mah 20 amp CDR
Samsung 18650-25R, 2500 mah 20 amp CDR
Sony 18650VTC6 3000mAh 20A CDR
Sony 18650VTC5, 2600 mah 20 amp CDR
Sony 18650VTC4, 2100 mah 23 amp CDR
AW 18650 3000 mah 20 amp CDR
30W - 75W:
Sony 18650VTC5A, 2500 mah 25 amp CDR
60W or higher:
LG18650HB6 1500mah 30 amp CDR
LG18650HB2 1500mAh 30 amp CDR
LG18650HB4 1500mAh 30 amp CDR
Try to limit your choices to the top manufacturers like AW, LG, Samsung, or Sony. And if you don't have a quality charger for your batteries, consider the Efest LUC V2 or V4. Good batteries deserve a good charger. Don't charge your batteries via the USB port except in an emergency.

I'd go with the Samsung INR18650-30Q for lower or the Sanyo UR18650NSX for higher watts. They are both reasonably priced and outperform nearly all other 18650 batteries on the market except the Sony VTC6 (equal to 30Q) or VTC5A. But the VTC6 is more expensive than the 30Q and the VTC5A is not only expensive but really hard to get as well nowadays.

Thanks for your help guys!
Finally my new Gen3 and Valyrian tank came in today -
Caution to anyone ordering with Vaporl.com their shipping is super slow -
That being said - I have my new mod but haven't bought any new batteries for it...
I popped in 3 of my old LG HG2's
Vaping at 101 Watts
No issues other than the mod getting a little warm. Now I'm not sure if that's a normal thing or if its the batteries heating up -
I think I'm going to settle on the Sony VTC6's
Should I not trust ordering thru Amazon.com? They have some really good deals on mutliple battery bundles -

Do not order batteries from amazon or ebay. Baditude gave you a list of battery vendors for a reason. I use Liion Wholesale. Great prices, excellent service, fast shipping, and they provide cases with every order.
On a side note, not unusual for some mods to get warm, or older batteries.

The newer Vapcell INR18650 2000mAh (Mooch's review) is also a killer choice for such mod, allowing to go full power if required, yet as others have suggested lower CDR cells may be a wiser choice for lower power output.
It can be purchased with ease if within US territory, I believe.

Cheers :)
