Total noob here needing advice.

So say I've gotten all my single flavor percentages down and I'm ready to start blending multiple flavors together.
Do I use the single percentages still or subtract from each flavor to get a total percentage?

Like 1 flavor 20% , 2 flavors 10% each?

Is there any math behind this or is it basically starting over from scratch and test dripping till its right?
Or is it base flavor at single percentage then add other flavors to taste?

also percantages

There is no math behind recipe making that I know of. It's kind of like cooking and you have to see what you like, what flavor you want in the forefront, which should be a background note and which additive (or not) makes it all pop (or not). You wouldn't add as much salt as you do parsley to pasta sauce but they both have their places.

I kind of figure out an average of all the flavors I want to use to come up with a final percentage (very rarely above 20%) of flavoring before I start to calculate it. Then decide which I want to be prominent and which are less so and then enhancers. It gets...not more involved but a bit different when the super concentrates are involved since such a low percentage is required.

Say you like 10% flavor with all of the flavors you are blending. Then go with 10% TOTAL FLAVOR, so 3.33% of each if you are using 3 flavors. 5.0% of each for two flavors. That's about all the math there is to blending flavors, just keep the total flavor in the range you like. By going with the total flavor percentage where you like for single flavors, you still have room to add a bit more of one or the other to adjust the final product w/o over powering the flavor badly.
