I'm trying to build a nanocoil and I'm getting ridiculously low readings on my multimeter, right now I've got 28 gauge kanthal at about 10 wraps around a needle that's a little smaller than a millimeter. And when I check the ohms I'm getting about .1 the same build on the same needle with 26 gauge wire has significantly higher resistence.
What am I doing wrong??
Update: I tried building the 28 gauge around a 5/64 inch screwdriver and got the same reading but the 26 is still getting what I would expect. Also when building With the 26 gauge it read right but when I went to fire and adjust it the lead from the positive post was heating bright red before the coil in some positions.
