If your getting too much juice ... squeeze less.
If your still getting too much juice .... squeeze even less.
If you still getting too much juice .... squeeze even less.
-- see the pattern ?

If there is juice in the cup its flooded for sure.

My only advice would be find a way to make blind squonking work ..... (Not sure how it couldn't)

It takes a super light squonk ..... like 1/15th of what it would take to do an atty.

I've never ever flooded one, not sure what else to tell you.

When I use cartos on my Reos, I fill them the regular way first. Then as I vape, I will periodically squeeze the bottle and at the same time take a few quick puff, or draw. I say quick because if not I get juice in my mouth. If I take the top off, I will see that the filler is wet and all is good again.

I squonk until I see fluid in the cup

Stop doing that ...... thats how you fix it.

By the time juice comes out into the cup you have put 20X too much into the carto.

I think your over thinking it ..... its foolproof IMO.

Just vape 10 hits or so and give a tiny tiny squonk .....
I've never found a way to do it with out drawing at the same time though other say they do.
it takes drawing for me to draw the tiny tiny tiny tiny amount of juice up into the filler.

And I hope you have a drip tip on .... without you will get juice in the mouth every time :(

If I could get the hang of blind squonking, don't worry- you'll manage it too soon enough, lol. You can squeeze (sort of) like you're doing with an atty on- basically watch reaaaaaalllly close and if you see the teeniest amount of juice come out, STOP. But blind squonking is actually *easier*, weirdly enough.* Just suck gently while squeezing the bottle (and not clicking the button) and voila! Good to go. It's ridiculously easy- much easier than, like, dripping, for sure. Really, I promise! If you do that, and still flood it, see Big Hitter's first post for further instructions ;)

*I started playing with my new Reo prior to actually reading how to squonk- so that was my first instinct too, to squeeze on the bottle and stare at the drip cup, followed by flooding my atty and wondering what I was doing wrong, haha, Once I actually, y'know, bothered to read instructions and all, I realized pretty quick there's a reason for why the "blind squonk" is the suggested method- easier, and more effective.

When I try to blind squonk I press bottle and try to suck easy, horrible how that sounds, what happens is I hear girgling. Then I stop and usually to much juice. Maybe I'm squonking while there is enough juice already in the atty? Thanks.

thats what im thinking is your juicing the atty when it dont need it i made the same mistake first time i used a carto

I dont feel the pressure when I blind squonk but I do hear the gurgling, now I'll know to stop when I FIRST hear the gurgling, I was probably going to long. I'll try this today and see how it works, would this be the same for the carto, stop when you first hear the gurgling? Man I hope this works because it sounds so simple and it just didn't work for me, I was flooding atties and cartos. Thanks a lot.

Hi hubseven...I'm bummed that I don't have any sage words to help since I don't use cartos. But I thought I might offer another off-base suggestion. Is there a somewhat local vapers club that meets up in your area? I know that there are several REOnauti that live in New York or nearby who might be able to give you some help in person. I know we've been doing what we can to help with vapers in our area...especially those with REOs. I sure hope you can find your "groove." :)

It does work the same for Cartos, I use them exclusively. I find I don't get as many "dry" hits with Cartos, but I'm sure with practice I would get to where Attys worked as well for me. Keep at it, you will get it and be amazed! Oh, and the pressure you will feel is in the draw or mouth.

I only use cartos on my Reo Grand and Blind feeding process until i hear a very tiny gurgle. Right now I'm using LR dual coils at 5 volts so I'm feeding juice every 4-5 hits and it's perfect for me. I never liked the 'squeeze the bottle and watch for the juice at the air holes thing'. I liked to inhale without pushing the button and squeezing the bottle a tiny bit so I know the juice is getting all in the filler.

I don't notice the pressure thing either. I think it's a very subtle thing that us newbie Reonauts don't really notice. Really, don't squonk unless you're noticing you're low on juice (dry hit/ low flavor or vapor). I mostly pay attention to the gurgling noise, it's the most obvious cue you're actually getting juice. I usually stop squonking when I hear just the barest start of a gurgle. And then if that's not enough, squonk again.

I started using the Reo with an atty first- that might be the thing for you to try- switch back to an atty so you get the hang of how much juice to squonk. Then go back to the carto. That's what I did. I mean, remember- cartos are designed to hold a decent bit of juice. So when you stick one on a Reo, you don't have to squonk nearly as often/hard as you would with an atty that doesn't hold much juice on it's own.

Great idea! Now if one were to go to atties...I have a suggestion to help them get the hang of it. Count your vapes. Go about 5 drags, then squonk. Repeat. that is just so you get the hang of it. After an hour or two of using that method, you tend to have a feel for how things are going by that point and you don't really need to count your squonks anymore. I wonder if this method would work on a carto. (I know, I'm lame......haven't used a carto in almost a year!)

Tried blind squonking with atty yesterday and stopped squonking when I first heard gurgle and this worked. Didn't flood my atty all day and no excess juice in cup. Did this with 510 and 306 atty. Finally got hang of it but it was the tip about listening for the sound of the first gurgle that did it for me, the pressure thing didn't work. So now I'm going to try with cart tomorrow. Thanks to all for help.
