Hay all, I need a bit of help with deciding on what to go with.

I started vaping with 808's about two months ago and have FINALLY been able to quit; that is unless I am socializing with those who use analogs and then I break down. I love my 808's; I have PT's, manuals, auto's shorty's and longs. They seem to heat up after a few pulls, so much so that I get juice in my mouth if I keep vaping them after they get hot. I normally rotate between PT's and batt's; but it just get's too complicated and too much of a hassle when I'm out.

So now I am looking into eGo's after some research here and a some suggestions from friends on another forum. I am wondering what are the big differences between the eGo Plug-N-Play and Elegante? How much dose the mah factor into the batt's?

I am also looking to not use the poly filled carts like the 808's have and want to get the CE2 Clearomizers and/or eGo-T Tank system. Let's face it, I LOVE new hardware. ;) Can the CE2's and eGo-T Tank system be used with the Plug-N-Play and/or Elegante? Can I use the Clear Drip tip's be use on the CE2's?

I know I am such a noob with GotVap's hardware; but where else am I to learn? :p

Thank you for any and all responses!!! :D

yes you can use the ce2's on the elegants kit or the ego-usb kit, the ego elegante is also a usb ego but with much more battery capacity.

the diptips fit the the ce2, some more snug then others but that be adjusted by using a file pad for fingernails to sand it down so the fit is better. it depends on the driptip and the thickness of the ce2 tube.

the regular ego usb battery which is very popular is 650 mahh, that will last you most of the day depending on your vaping habbits, the 900 and 1050 mah will get you throughout the day and then some.

having a battery that can do 300 mah is great and all but size then plays into it and im trying to get away form holding large things in my hands so anywhere form 650 to 1300 mah is just perfect in form factor and in all day vaping, plus kits come with 2 batteries so thats twice the use and if you use the ego usb or ego elegant you can be strapped in to the usb all day when you can and have it always charged and ready to go prolonging the use even further.

The CE2 is really versatile...
Pick any battery you want, and get a 510 adaptor for it if needed(you get more choices in resistance for the 510 threaded CE2 line).

To me the CE2 shines best on hotter voltage batteries. I.E. On your KR808 setup...a 2.4-6 Ohm CE2 gets a nice light, flavor rich, draw...even if you're using auto batteries :) You won't have to take really long draws to get a nice hit like with other carto types. To me, this combo with the right juice is about as close to smoking a real ciggy as it gets from a small PV.

GotVapes has really nice on the town kits with the longer 4.2v batteries (over 300Mah, I forget the exact rating) that will last a good while with a CE2. Two of these type batteries with 3 or 4 full CE2 (the regular/short kind, or a couple of the Xl size) cartos will get me through an entire work day most of the time.

They're also great on eGo batteries....for these I definately like the lowest resistance CE2 I can find. If I know I'll be away from a charger for a long time...I'll go this route...for battery life. I do like longer slower draws with the eGo battery.

On tanks...
For me, these do best on the lower voltage eGo batteries...it's more of a 'smoldering' style vape setup that can actually benifit from lower heat and a more simmering type of vape.

It's quite different from a CE2. I haven't tried a Turbine yet, but the eGo T has a tight kind of draw. Tanks are nice if you like a tigheter draw and enjoy getting more sinus/nose stuff going on with your vaping style. Getting a full 'lung' hit with a Tank takes a longer burn and a slow paitent draw to get the system working at it true maximum potential. If you like to pull quick puffs into your mouth, lower the PV and follow that with air...tanks are also great for that style of vaping. Just don't expect to be able to pull in a fast 'lung-full' from a tank system. They aren't set up to work well that way.

I like variety, so I keep lots of stuff in my stash...each suiting different juices and moods better than others. I can't say any of them left me feeling like I didn't get my money's worth...so give it all a try when you get a chance :)

@Credo Yeah, I know that my vaping will cost more then analogs ever did. lol It's all about my increasing my health though. :D I am more of a long slow draw and flavor for me when I am at my computer or reading and quicker draws for when I haven't vaped in a while. I guess I'll wait for the eGo-T until I start work and get a few paychecks in the bank. I know I want to order an 510/808 adapter for changing CE2's from the eGo to the KR808's and back; I like to make the most of what I have. ;) I go for more flavor then TH, but so far I have mainly ordered 50/50 for a nice balance; 60/40 with flavor shots from VaporRenu is my favorite though.

Considering I only started vaping a few months ago, I have quite a few batt's but hate being tied down to carts. Don't get me wrong, I love carts for their convince, but I need something more when I'm not at home all day at my new job. :D By a few months I'll have a nice little stash of batt's, E-Liquid and maybe even some mods. :vapor:

I've splurged on Vaping stuff because of the savings from tobacco's sin taxes ;)

To me, the only draw back of 808 stuff is shorter battery life. Other than that...it's still my favorite out of the lot :)

OK...I do have a Darwin now which is 'amazing'...but that's a bit excessive in that I never 'needed' this thing to get a good vape. Ironically....I most often find that I tune it to perform about a like a fresh KR808 battery right off the charger ;) Somewhere between 4 and 5 watts on the CE2.

The Darwin sounds great! :D Since I have used only Blue (bad batts and sent them all back) and then I believe an 810 or 801 pen style which didn't last; I love my KR808's and I have enough to last me through the day with the PT's. As far as watt's are concerned with E-cigs; I have no clue . . . yet. lol I'll be picking up a tester in a few months though, so that won't last long. ;)

Ah, watts are just a way of talking about the 'heat' generated by the coils.

With a CE2, I'm usually in the ballpark of what an 808 battery would do on a 2.6Ohm CE2...of course it's nice to be able to fine tune it for each juice/atty. I do have some juices that are a total waste unless I crank them up much hotter, then they're really nice :)

I do like 801 atomizers with their tight draw and flavorful native carts at times (cool, but nice)...the 801 battery life just ain't that great for the money.

You'll find your vaping costs will go down once you find a couple of sweet spots: i.e. you fave go-to vaping juice and also your kit...

Heya GG36, I haven't read all of the responses but I've read a few and they all seem very good advice wise. I figured I'd throw in my two cents, so here is what I've been using and I have completely quit smoking my (once) beloved clove cigarettes because of this.

When you get a chance (and when they're back in stock) you really need to pick up some a pack of Vortex from Gotvapes. These things.......... Are I'm at a loss of words.
If you could learn how to take one apart and take out the cloth-like wrap at the base... They work with just about any e-liquid. And I've heard all sorts of things like using teflon tape to put them back together. But I've found you can just put them back together without anything and they won't leak if you put them back together snug. They're fairly easy to clean too! Simply run some hot water on the coil... Wipe it off with a cloth or paper towel... Blow on it while it's hooked up to your battery and fire it... Once the coils glow orange they'll be clean again. I usually use one for about a week just for the simple fact of sanitation issues. But sounds like you have 808 batteries I promise you this would be a very nice cost effective way to vape as much as, as long as you want like a cigarette! I'd recommend using some Gotvapes liquids with them they seem to work the best for me.
Anyway, I know all this may be a little overwhelming and confusing but once you get the hang of things I figured this would be a quick way for you to recap on older posts and get some insight.
Cheers
-Matthew

The heat generated by my KR808's is hot enough to spit E-liquid in my mouth.

My biggest problem is with battery life, the blue didn't last a week and the 801 didn't last two months. For the price I pay, I want to see a longer battery life. I finally ended up with V2's KR808's after about six months or so because of their warranty and I love them; not a problem with the life of the batts and I know I am covered for the long hall. I have also heard that GotVapes are also a great company, so I'm going to order with them next. Once I start working for a while I'll adventure out some, but since money is tight I can't loose money on an experimenting. :(

I hear ya...
A really good value is the E-Power system. You get the benifits of custom modular systems at factory kinds of prices :)
When your stash of batteries gets low and you find yourself having to do something...
These are hard to beat on price/performance ratio.
At around $50 you get eveything you need to vape safely just about any carto/atty on the market.

That E-Power is a really good deal for the money.

I hope so! :D

It will, if it hasn't already...
Putting in a big e-cig order can have a big psychological hit...

But....if you stop to think about the old analog bill.........unless you could stretch a single pack out over week or something...well...them things are expensive in most states now. $4 to $6 a pack. Then a fresh lighter from time to time to boot.

And ugggg....the collateral damages...stinky ash trays...the occasional "Oh, #$%^! I just dropped a cherry on this really expensive ________ and now have to replace it :(

If you're not already saving money...you will...trust me.
Even with splurges on Mods and just having to try out the latest carto/atty, or going nuts on some 'useless bling', and extra juices I don't really 'need'...I've still saved a little bit :)

Heck...one time I dropped a cherry off a burning cig on a $1,200 pool cover.....not a good day for a smoker LOL. Never mind the rooms I had to redo, and the cars I've trashed with smoking.

Better health...priceless :)

Absolutely detest failomizers. The farther away I get from random burnt tire tastig hits. . . The happier I become. Ego t tanks sacrificed to much flavor and durability to justify buying anymore after the first one died in 3 days. Check into the dual coils made by smoktech, everyone is stocking them now.

This is why I started vaping. Spending $50 on a carton a month and buying bics that lasted me months or a year is not worth the smell or my health I was smoking away. Vaping is going to cost me more now, but I'm going to live a longer and heather life; that is what really matters. :D
