That is an unprotected LiCo battery. It SHOULD NOT be used for vaping. (or anything else for that matter)
Don't skimp on batteries. Find a good LiMn high drain battery.

The AW 18650's are always a good safe bet. If you're vaping resistances around 1 ohm or lower, go with the AW 1600mah version (as opposed to the 2000mah version), it has a higher amp rating.

Ok. Thank you for your help. I will heed the warning of not using, but may have to use it as a test battery if I do not have another to test my mod with. Again, thank you.
Be extremely cautious when you purchase batteries from online vendors like FastTech, Ebay, or Amazon. They sell un-protected li-ion batteries alongside protected li-ion and IMR batteries. You must be able to identify the battery you need for your application. Un-protected NCR/ICR batteries should never be used in any mod.

E-Cig vendors that specialize in selling batteries appropriate for mods are like RTD Vapor.

Learn about the different battery chemistries and what applications they are best applied to. The following blog has much of the information that you'll need, and has a list of recommended batteries.

Hi there. I am in process of making my own mod and using a single 18650 battery. I had ordered this battery and was wondering if it is protected or not. It does not mention or say. So is there a way to tell. I do not hav it yet, but it is on its way. Thank you.

$3.42 UltraFire 18650 3.7V "2400mAh" Rechargeable Li-Ion Battery (1-Pack) - actual capacity 1807.3mAh at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

P.S. Also if this is in the wrong section, please move it to the appropriate area.

Output Current 1000 mA (says it right on the site!!!)

Don't screw around with Li Ion batteries...learn as much as you can, as the others have said...get KNOWN good batteries or you could hurt yourself man...not kidding!
