Hello
@Bernie Miles and welcome to ECF! Congratulations on giving
vaping a go! The laws here in Australia are confusing for sure. I have just looked up a site and found some information on Western Australia for you:
WESTERN AUSTRALIA (WA) vaping LAWS
Western Australia is one of the strictest states with laws around vaping in Australia. In Western Australia provisions that relate to e-cigarettes come under the
Tobacco Products Control Act 2006 and the
Medicines And Poisons Act 2014. Under the act, you are not allowed to sell any product that is not a tobacco product, but designed to resemble a tobacco product or package. Unfortunately, due to this act, e-cigarettes with or without nicotine cannot be sold in Western Australia. You can still buy e-cigarettes and e-liquids online from vendors in other states and have it shipped to WA. The use of vapes and e-liquids is legal to use with or without nicotine in WA and there are no controls around vaping in no-smoking zones, so you are legally free to vape wherever you like unless the owner of the premises prohibits vaping.
So basically, you are ok to import eliquid containing nicotine to your state.
@AngeNZ has already suggested some New Zealand sites for you.
I have used supervapestore.com.au before and they are very good as well.
For really cheap eliquids with nicotine I have also bought from fasttech.com. The only problem (if you can call it that) is that fasttech take about a month to get here. BUT the shipping/postage is free. If you plan ahead though, you could order from one of the other sites mentioned first to get some eliquid quickly, then put an order in with fasttech and wait for it.
Let us know what device you bought, as different devices are more suited to different strength eliquids. I am guessing that you will want to replicate the act of smoking to start with - if that is the case, I would suggest you order a higher mg eliquid - something like an 18mg or even 24mg nicotine content.
Best of luck!
Catherine
