Hi my fellow vapourers. I am very new to vapouring and tomorrow I give up smoking completely with help from nic patch and my new VIP e-cig.

I would be very grateful if I could have some advice about puffing on e-cig and not taking it down. Does the nicotine still get absorbed in my mouth. Sometimes it makes me cough and makes my throat burn. Is this normal? Any advice would be ace. Thanks

Welcome to the forum!!! I guess it would all depend on how you're vaping. What I do is take a shallower draw than I normally would with an analog. I hold the vapor in my mouth before inhaling and then exhale through my nose. It helps me absorb the nicotine. When I first started vaping I would cough but it lasted for about 2-3 weeks and I felt better. If you're having throat burn you might want to adjust the PG level or Nicotine level in your eliquid and see if that makes it go away.

Hello & welcome Donski101 :)

I'm also in the UK :)

The VIP e-cig isn't much cop, there are far better & cheaper alternatives available - have a look at this list of some of the good UK online e-cig vendors -

The nicotine does get absorbed in the mouth & to begin with, it's best to inhale & then hold the vapour in your mouth for a few seconds before taking it back into your lungs - doing it that way should stop you coughing :)
