Help with ego c and ce5 clearomizer

Just received my ego c. Loaded up the tank and was ready to vape. It does not turn on when I press the button all the time. I have the atty head on top of the base. It does not screw in or anything like that. I have cone on and the tank filled. Sometimes I get a burnt taste and sometimes it does not turn on when i press the button. Sometimes it turns on and goes off for half a second and goes back on. I didnt think this would be so difficult to use. Can someone explain to me how I am supposed to use this device.

Also, I ordered oa ce5 clearomizer with it. The wick seems so tiny. The wick is literally about 1/2 - 1/4 inch long coming out of each side and after filling it after a few vapes all I am getting is a burnt taste. I always used the volt or other slim cigarette looking models so the ego and the clearomizer thing is new to me. I ordered replacement heads with the clearomizer too and all of their wicks are the same size. When I look up videos online they all have moster wicks in them. Did my order get screwed up or is this how they are supposed to be. How do I get rid of this burnt taste and get the actually e liquid flavor I am trying to vape. I obviously am doing something wrong. Am I supposed to take this thing apart or something and remove a silicone cover or anything. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Not sure why your ego c would not be firing.

But on the ce5 it sounds like you got the "short wick" version. I have read that you need to invert the tank and slosh the juice around then hold it up to vap.
You may just be getting dry hits and if the wicks are in the juice better I would imagine it would help.
