Help with Ego

I received my kit from L-F for the Ego. I also have some juice. What I did was take the empty cartridge, cut some filter material to fit in the cartridge (I have a fish tank at home that I use the Marineland "A" filters. I hope it's okay to use that material instead of the other that was recommended). Then I dropped about 4 drops on the filler material. Is that the right way to do it? Or should I be filling the cartridge first and then stuff the material in there?

I am not sure about type A. I use to use type U. You fill the cart with the filler in. If i remember correctly it should hold about 20 drops. When it looks saturated but not pooled. Give it time to soak in as your filling

You can use polyfill that is used in aquarium filters, actually that's what comes in cart's I believe. You don't want to use too much or it won't want to wick into your atomizer. Use just enough to keep the juice from running out. You'll need to put more than 4 drops in a completely dry cart. Just keep dripping juice into it until it looks wet, but not pooled on top of the filler.

I think I'm good. I was getting a kind of burnt taste off of one of them. I think it was too dry. Thanks for your help.
