So I just purchased some 100mg unflavored nicsalt, I made a batch of 50/50 and 4 percent menthol 6 percent flavor, But when I tried it out i taste nothing and get a major harshness in my throat but other then that I still get the buzz etc, I don't understand what I did wrong was it just the nicsalt or the menthol etc?

The recipe I used was
4.5ml 50/50 100mg nic salt
4.5ml 50/50 liquid
.4ml PG Menthol Flavoring
.6ml PG Blue Raspberry Flavoring
The device I'm using is the Novo
What brands are the menthol and the Blue Rasp?
What brand of nicotine did you use?
What brand of PG/VG did you use?
Based on the recipe above, the final ratio is 60% PG which might add to the harshness.

Nicsalts can just make everything weird. Did you use freebase before this? If not, I would look at the last bottle of nic salts you enjoyed, and perhaps mimic it somehow like same PG level, etc.
If you always used freebase before you may be getting a different kind of throat hit than a nic throat hit which can't exactly be replicated although people try.
To add insult to injury I guess it's possible you got some low quality ingredients and good luck figuring that one out, elimination would be your best bet.

BTW most people's first DIY offerings suck a bit. You are not alone is what I am saying. Just keep at it.

This might sound like I'm making fun of you but did you shake it up real good after mixing? How did you measure (especially small amounts of flavor)? Was it a new pod? Did you let it set awhile to prime before vaping?

BrotherBob, OP is using a pod device and going for max nic (5 % salts) Does seem a bit extreme to me too.
I shook it for about 5 mins or so switching up hands, And it is a bit extreme going for 5 but as on a tight budget can't afford new pods as often as I used to so Id rather not need to take a million hits.
Are you saying you mixed it in the pod or a small bottle? Did you use a syringe or count drops for the flavors?
I looked at Delosi Labs website. They have 100 mg salt nic (50/50) but only have plain VG and PG... did you get both and mix those to get the 50/50 juice (with no nic)? What do you mean by "Id rather not need to take a million hits."?

I get it my bad here I used the 100mg salt nic for vg and pg 50/50 mixed it with 70/30 vg and pg and then did drops for the flavors, So i beleive it would be about 60/40 vg pg and no I mixed it in a 30ml bottle.
Ok... I get it. I think your mistake was using drops... some people say 20 drops/ml (that would be from a larger "eyedropper") Those little flavor bottles (with small tips) could be more like 30-40 drops. have you tried just adding more drops?
With that device, I could see not being able to taste raspberry at that amount, but I’m surprised you can’t taste the menthol. I agree, the drops method is likely not accurate enough.
Also there’s nothing wrong with 50 mg. I use it once in a blue moon in a minifit, when I need to get the quickest fix possible. I normally vape 6 mg with RBAs, but when that is not convenient, I can get my fix in 3-4 very stealthy puffs.
