Help with equipment for converting a new vaper...

One of the guys that works with me is interested in starting vaping. I want to put together a kit for him that I know will be durable, and not too much of a learning curve. I, personally, have no experience with eGo style batteries, having jumped from 808s to a Kanger S1 and then right to an iTaste MVP and a Tesla with Protanks. I'm thinking a couple of vv eGo batts, but would like some input on what might be the most durable... Twists, Spinners, or the SLB mega VV2. He does marine construction, so durability is key. I'd really like to point him straight to the eGos and not try an auto 808 or small 510 kit. I've got a couple of iClear 16s, a T3, and a couple of EVODS I'm willing to part with, but am open to suggestion of other easy-to-use reliable delivery devices. Any input is greatly appreciated.

A Kanger MT3 would work for him, mostly the same as a T3 with a metal cover.
The spinner or a twist would be fine. I've not used Visions equipment, but I do know the joyetech stuff works...

I used ego's with cartos probably the first year I vaped.

Marine construction? I'd recommend a heavy duty bottom feeder- maybe a reo. Nothing easier than that. Someone posted their horse stepped on their reo. You can wash them in the sink.

I may get a bottom feeder eventually, but I want to see if he's happy with an eGo type setup before I recommend a mod, especially one that I have no personal experience with. They are sweet looking, though!

That is true. An ego, like the one tj posted is a great start.

If he does like vaping, the reo might be as good fit for him down the road. It'll fit in his pocket when he's working, and the liquid is internal. You don't have to worry about the tank coming off. Plus, it's OK around water.

True. I lost my head for a minute. Plus the charger and batteries, plus the atty. Closer to $200 setup.

Very affordable, and I like the fact that they're passthrough. I do kind of want to get him started with a vv battery, though. I'm even thinking of lending him my MVP to try for a few days if he's open to a battery that big.

You could get him a spinner or twist battery too. Always better to have at least 2 batteries.

Well, he doesn't seem to be scared of a large form mod, because I was using my Tesla and he pointed and asked "Where do I get one of those?". I do think it's a bit of overkill for a newb, but I also don't want to get something underpowered that he'll lose confidence in. I struggled with 808s and cartos for 5 years before I finally started with VV.

I've also got to figure out what sort of juice to get him started with... I forgot about that. All my stuff is DIY, and I haven't tried any tobacco ready mixed in years... Time to order some samplers! I'm certainly not going to throw DIY at him this early in the game.

I may just load up a few iClear 16s with a few different juices and let him try out the MVP for a few days... that little mod can stand up to a little abuse, and it's dead simple to use.

Ya, they're the Smok Nova's with the spring loaded center post. They also use the Smok CE-4 heads. (with the spike at the top)
