I have not had much luck in mixing these flavors from Flavor Art. Even at 20% they seem bland and have an alchohol taste to them.

All my juices are 20/80 base up to 8 mg nic; I use liquid sucralose as my main sweetener. I will use EM when I mix up flavors like Tiramisu and coffee.

I have mixed fruit flavors from Lorann and PA with much greater success. So far, my best results have come with Capella. Almost everything I mix from them tastes great. I am absolutely nuts about their Apple Pie.

I had some Banana from FA that I creamed up with Bavarian Cream from PA and kept adding McCormick artificial banana and got a vapeable blend.

The flavors from FA for now are going to the bottom of my list, but any suggestions for improving them would be helpful.

Thanks,

Tony

Tybin's right. I've noticed that if I use too much FA flavoring, the actual flavor gets overpowered by a strong sour note. This has been true on at least 3 flavors I've tried: Hypnotic Mist, Apple Pie, and Irish Cream. All of them seem to be perfect around or just below 10%, but if I go much higher I have this problem.

Also, steeping is not a myth (though I think its affects may be exaggerated). Give all mixes at least a week before completely writing them off.

Another vote for tybin's explanation. I've not used any of those particular FA flavorings, but with the others I've true, too much can taste as if there's too little -- except with bad undertones/overtones.

Letting DIY juice sit at least a couple of days is mandatory, in my experience. I can reduce the resting time down to a day if I use a hot water bath after mixing.
