help with flavors?

Newbie here. I am a menthol smoker, so i ordered menthol and tobacco. Could not do the straight tobacco, ick. Menthol was OK, but I would like some ideas from other ex-menthol folks. What are the various coffee flavors like? Or the vanilla? caramel? I know that menthol is an addiction just on it's own. if you order just flavors, where do you get the nicotine? Chinese vs. US? I have been reading and reading, so my head is spinning.

I started out loving the butter rum from TV (Tasty Vapor) and have since moved on to his pina colada and german choc cake - I also adore some of the juices at DIYFS (http://www.diyflavorshack.com/default.asp) esp the fried spiced apple, and cignot, and vsvapor..
the list of possible flavors and suppliers goes on and on. Myself I have more juice than I can vape in ayear but it took me a while to find a go-to flavor or 4 lol.

Checking out the E Lquid reviews subforum is a good start - and read at LEAST 5 pages as it tends to be a fast moving area with lots of reviews, both good and bad but remember that taste is very VERY subjective. What I love you might hate and vice versa. If possible buy small bottles from supliers so you can 'test drive' them without spending too much - or join the social group 'PIF' which offers samples. Thers also a thread on TV suppliers page, called 'co-op' run by a member which offers a bunch of sample sized TV juices at a fixed cost (TV dont make small bottles for retail sale so members did their own little group with his blessing).
As far as flavors go - the world is your oyster - have fun trying stuff

I really fell in love with waffle. It is a sweet thick smoke. I have a separate atty for just that flavor.

I smoked industrial strength menthols for many years and like you, thought I needed to stat vaping with menthol. Jump in there and try some small bottles of the wild things like Peanut butter, Blackberry Jelly and Bacon! For me, any of the coffee flavors are great for general use.

I use Ms Ts Bakery Essentials Inc. a lot, but allow her time to make it fresh for you.

I love the Tiramisu from Vapor Bomb. Kinda coffee and chocolaty, and creamy.
Also I never thought I would like snickerdoodle, but after I got some as a sample it is one of my favorites!

I haven't really found a tobacco / menthol that i really care for tbh. The coffee and chocolate flavors all taste scorched to me when vaped. Kinda stinks because I was a menthol analog smoker that loves coffee and chocolate lol.

I also agree with tastyvapor for juice, probably the best juice you can get and its about the same price as the chinese stuff when you get the flavor of the week.

I really like geoffs blend, atomic cinnacide, and amaretto sour stone for TV. You could also try some ry4, its a tobacco / caramel / vanilla flavor that I really like. Madvapes carries ry4 in 50ml bottles for like $10 (their store brand jucie is also really good for the price).

I'll watch this thread and wish I could help. I have a bud I fish with, and he's a menthol smoker. I'd bum one from him because I liked one once in a while. I've tried a few menthol juices, and yuk. I'd like to try to convert him, as he's down to one kidney, and told two tears ago to stop smoking when they removed it, but I don't think he'd make it with what I've tried.

Thanks for the replies so far. I value your opinions but... Bacon? That would just be too weird; can't do peanut butter or banana either. Tiramisu and pina colada sounds interesting, and I saw a comment about brandy that also sounded good.Thanks for the tip about TV samples, that helps alot. I have only been doing this for a week, and I am on my first 24 hours w/o my trusty basic menthol analog. ( 8 cigs, then 7, then 4 then 2 then...) I am truly amazed this is actually working for me. As for the fishing buddy who is a menthol smoker, all I can say is give him one of your "older" ecigs loaded with menthol (and then leave him alone with it?) I am a hard core junkie (resentful about needing to quit to boot) and if I can do it even for just a day, I believe anyone can.

What brand of menthol did you get? I wasn't a menthol smoker, but I really like eliquidplanet's Essence Ice. I also love TV's mint choco chip cookies.

I smoked VS for a long time, I wasn't to thrilled with the straight menthol either! I've diluted mine with VG, and added a little vanilla, this helped alot. I Also tried Loranns creme de menth (got it in a 4pack with 3 other mints for 3.99 at Pat Catans) with a little of the mentol PG and a little VG. So far the Creme de menth mix is what I like the best! Hope this helps!

Vanilla? as in regular vanilla (alcohol based) or a PG/VG vanilla? and I have seen some neg. comments about Lorann flavorings (b/c it's chinese? impure?) Remember I know nothing.

Thanks for the suggestion. He's I guess what you'd call "old school". He's had a PC in his home for 10 years, his wife and son use the heck out of it, but he won't even use the internet. I hope some day the advancements in ecigs will make it easier on people like him. He's pretty set in his ways, figures he's got a few years left and oh well.

He tells me when we're bass fishing, "if my time comes while we're out here just keep on fishing. I wouldn't want you to miss out on a big one. You can deal with me at the end of the day" The visual of me catching a huge bass with my dead buddy in the back of the boat doesn't work though

LorAnn flavorings are good quality & very popular. I have used Creme De Menthe to add Menthol & have LorAnn Keoke coffee to add to menthol.

I got Halo Menthol Ice, though Truepure is more like a cig.
I like the Menthol Freeze (strictlyejuice) better than the Menthol which is very popular.
Menthol from electronic-ash is good.
Will try TV Menthol next.

I have sneaked on to the TV sample group that is being set up now, so I look forward to whatever comes out of that. I am currently using Halo menthol Ice, and it is OK but almost too much, so I need to cut it with something. The thin mint sounds like something i want to try. So I am at three days without a cig, and yesterday was my first day of commuting and work without a cig, though not without the desire. Thanks for all the good advice.

I used to smoke Basic Menthol 100's but when I started vaping, I didn't like menthol flavored juices. I still don't. You have to try lots of different flavors. Also, your tastebuds are going to change. You might find a juice flavor that you like this week, but next week that same flavor might not taste good at all. Since it has only been 3 days since you had your last analog, you can expect an even bigger change in your tastebuds. I think it took me a couple of weeks before I was able to finally get my real tastebuds back.

Food is going to start tasting really good, too!

I smoked Pall Mall menthols, but most of the Menthol flavors I've tried are either too harsh or taste like spearmint chewing gum. But i generally do like a little of the menthol mixed in with other flavors.
