Help with forum

I am having trouble locating the info which describes when new members have enough posts to be able to post in other sections & leave visitor messages.

It seems the only forum I can create a thread in or reply to a thread is the new members forum. I can only read all other forums, I cant leave visitor messages either. So I am hoping I just need a few more posts in this thread to get the shackles off. But I also do not believe in spamming a forum I have no real constructive input in just to reach this goal.

I remember that you need 5 posts to post in the other areas. When you get 5 you have to wait a bit for the server to cycle and add you. Some thing like 15-30 mins.

This is on a sticky at the top of the new members page--lots of other good info on stickies there, too. The computer refreshes at 25 after the hour, so your post count will be updated then.

Start a thread here and ask, it might get answered. If not you'll still probably get your 5 posts satisfied in the attempt.

You don't have to start 5 threads. You only need 5 posts. Most new members start a thread introducing themselves and then end up responding to the members that post in their thread. You could also just post a hello in a thread started by another new member.

Thanks everyone.. I just still can't find the start thread button as easy as I can on most forums, maybe one day lol.. Might see everyone around I do enjoy forums and might need a bit of support not to get ...... off and give up vaping for the ole cigs again. It's been mostly satisfactory so far though, have had one cigarette in the past week.

Hi, mooseantlers. I start so few new threads that it's hard for me to remember, too. Go to "forums" at the top right of the screen and select the forum you want to post in. You will find an obvious prompt to start a new thread. Till you get a couple more posts, your choice is limited to New Members forum. Probably wrong to call the only choice a choice, but there you go.

Thank me for the info and you've got one more post to your credit.

You have achieved minimum post count to pm, and post in other sub forums. You now may proceed, next stop "Verified Member" status. 20 post and then one can apply and become verified, then can access classified section and spend more money. lmao
