I just got a halfling ibtank... so cool cuz of its size and profile... tired of tall toppers... anyways... set up my cart in the tank... I get E1 then E8 errors on my provari.. then it doesn't fire... I change the cart to a new one... seems fine... except it seems as though it's not wicking... or being extremely slow.... I left it overnight and it still burns the cart... I thinki have a 50/50 blend...

Does the smok coil I got from ibtank only work with certain juice? I've tried "presoaking" the cart and keep getting the E1 errors...

It's funny you say this because I'm having issues with my ibtank as well. Got the 19mm XL about two weeks ago. Things were working great but I started noticing a kind of funky taste to my vape. I figured it was the carto going bad. Didn't last as long as I thought but whatever. Anyways went to a B&M store and bought two 2.0 XL replacement cartos. Double punched just like the Smok one that came with the tank. Get back to the house, switch out the carto, and get it soaked using the "thingy". Started hitting it and it was like my vape was really airy and not thick like before. Didn't vape anything like the previous carto did. Not sure if I got a bad carto or if the B&M is just selling really ....ty ones. I'm going to give the second one a try tonight and see how that works.

That's very strange. I use an IBTanked sometimes on my Provari and never had issues. The only thing that eventually happens is that it's like the carto gets gummed up and becomes a very tight draw (much prefer an airy draw).

I prime mine only using the thingy, about 20 pumps does it for me and letting it sit for a few minutes. I tend to use 50/50 blends but put a 40/60 PG/VG ratio through and that was fine too.

What resistance and voltage are you using? I use 3.2 ohms at around 4-4.2 volts.

Once a carto is burned it's no good. How are you priming it?

You need more than a few drops . It sounds as if you're not priming it properly, in which case it will burn instantly. Did you read the little IB Tanked leaflet that came with it? You can prime it properly using the Thingy (the plastic case it came in).

You'll have to throw away any cartos that give you a burned flavor - they're no good now.

Two things that helped me was to start off putting little drops of juice directly in the carto around the top. Put a drop in, rotate then put another in to the spot next to it. I did this all the way around but you want to make sure not to get any directly in the middle. Then when you put it in the tank and fill the tank, it's important to pry the top off a little bit so that bubbles start coming out of the holes. I got the Halfling as well and it's pretty small so a little harder to maneuver. I just kept slightly prying the top around open to let bubbles come out of the holes until it didn't bubble any more. I got mine yesterday and between the pamphlet it came with and youtube I got it primed good.

I do not use thick juice but I always need to punch the holes larger in the smoktech cartos. Those little holes just don't allow enough flow for my heavy vaping. My juice is around 65%PG/35%VG. I use a carto punch and open up the existing 2 holes just a bit larger. I burned my first 2 cartos until I figured this out. I didn't own a carto punch when I first did this so I used a homemade punch (hammer and small nail). Don't recommend that, but hey, any port in a storm as they say.

I'm surprised! I vape higher PG juice, and sometimes chain vaping can flood mine!

Everyone is different I guess. After punching 2 larger holes, my tanks work perfectly for a week or more...no leaks, no runs, no errors. I go thru 6-7 mil of unflavored liquid per day.

I alternate, but usually I get about 30mls out of a carto. The problem with flooding only started recently when the outside temp hit 90...I'm hoping this is something I can sort out!
