This istick has me so mad (20w) that I want to open my front door and throw it as far as I can into the cemetery across the street so it can RIP with the rest of the people in there.
Actually I wouldn't disrespect them by throwing this crappy product in there.
I've had this istick for 2 months. Nothing but problems. It's with the center pin, I know. I only used this with the 510 adapter and a beauty ring. I was careful as to not unscrew anything from the battery itself. The thing stopped reading my protanks long ago, even with constant cleaning and fiddling (carefully) with the pin.
It'll read my nautilus no problems. MY problem is, I HATE the nautilus. I just don't like it. It has no problems, I just prefer my protank mini.
I have tried the bending adapter. That has more issues than anything. It totally goes screwy, will only read my nautilus coils at .3 ohms and won't read the protanks at all it did for like 2 minutes, then the dreaded no atomizer.
Out of frustration, I grabbed that pin and pulled it up. It worked! It read my beloved protanks! Vaped all night, rebuilt the coils in them to my liking and was in heaven. Ran out of juice, refilled, and nothing. Crap.
Fiddled with the pin. Nothing. Tried the bending adapter. Nothing.
Fiddled with the pin a little too much. It will read the nautilus but only if it's barely screwed in.
This thing is just SO frustrating. I'm emailing the company. I know people love their isticks but this is unbelievable.
Out of frustration, my weird self ordered the new 50W. I have high hopes. The real reason I ordered it was because of the price. I couldn't find another 50W mod that compares in price.
Is there any way to salvage this thing? My husband wants it. He told me I could order a new mod if he could have the istick. The thing is, it won't read my protanks which I have a ton of. It works with the nautilus and he can use that but either way it's frustrating.
It'll read my kayfun too but my kayfun has a burnt insulator so it tastes like plastic .... Waiting on insulators to come in the mail.
Any other ideas? I've tried everything I can think of trying. I saw someone put a rubber gasket in theirs to help make a connection. Has anyone tried this??

I have never had the 20 watt but I do have the 30 watt. Rebuilt Protanks is all I use on it and so far after a few weeks I have had no problems. I have heard they have fixed the problems that the 20 watt had when they released the 30 watt.

This is why I always wait to buy anything new until I know how its going to last for other people.

I have some o rings. Do I just shove it down inside?
I researched the istick before I bought it. I knew the pin issue. Everything I read just said to use the adapter. I always did and this still happened. I never unscrewed the adapter if I could help it, I never screwed it in too tight. I babied it and it still happened.
When I went to fill my protank this last time all I did was unscrew the tank from the adapter and it stopped reading it.
I know the 50W is brand new but I needed something that was affordable. I couldn't afford to buy a mod then all the batteries and charger. Eleaf/ismoka whatever should have fixed the pin issue IMO. maybe that's why the bending adapter was released, but that thing is junk and a waste.

Glad I'm not the only one! I've had my 20w for a maybe 3 weeks. It started when I woke up one morning after charging it and hit the button to get a vape and it told me "Atomizer Low" and read something like 0.8 ohms. I've also been using the 510 adapter. If I unscrewed the atomizer (in my case a Kayfun Lite clone) just a hair the ohms jumped back up to 1.6 where it should be and vaped just fine.

Now if I screw it down I get 0.0 ohms and it says no atomizer. Again, I unscrew it just a bit and it reads just fine. If I screw it directly into the KFL without the adapter it reads nothing. I used a small screwdriver to lift up the pin a little and put the KFL back onto it and it's been working fine. But I know as soon as I unscrew it to fill it I'll get the same issue.

I'm not using any oring or anything - just the stock 20w.

Mine basically did that too. I rebuilt MANY coils because I thought I was building them too low. Finally I'm like, there is no way all these are wrong! I figured out it was just the istick not reading my atomizer. I'm fed up and right now I'm just not dealing with it. I caved and put my nautilus on my spinner. The spinner wasn't firing my rebuilt coils right and I'm too lazy to build more. I just want to VAPE, not waste an hour rebuilding coils and getting the damn things to work.
I got a kayfun lite plus clone too and from the beginning, it taste burnt. I thought it was my coil but I think it's the insulator because my coil always looks fine..I mean I'm not doing anything to make it burn. I bought a whole rebulding kit for the kayfun so hopefully that fixes the issue. I REALLY like the kayfun and I can't wait to put it on my 50W when it comes.
I majorly screwed up though. My husband wanted my istick when I upgraded. I had plans to upgrade as soon as I started having issues, and when I fixed the issues I put it off, then of course started having issues again. Anyway I was shopping for the 50W and decided to get my husband one too. He told me no so I took his istick out of the cart and checked out. I looked at my receipt and my total was for over $100. I had forgotten to take out the istick mini I had in my cart for my husband. I had added that first then the 30W for him, then the 50 W and a subtank. I didn't notice and paid for everything but the 30W. Sooo....I guess my husband is getting an istick anyway for Valentines day or something. That's enough for him to vape on. He's really not into it at all. I can *barely* stand my spinners. I don't think I could stand the 10W istick either. I would rather not vape than vape on crappy hardware...LOL
Anyway I'm rambling. I want to chuck the istick. When I get a new one, I might mess with it some more, at least to make it work for my husband.

Pick up the Eleaf bending adapter that was made for the iStick 20W. It protects the threads and gives you a spring-loaded 510 connection for under $5. I know the Eleaf US website has it, as well as Discount Vapers and Sweet Vapes.

The 30 and 50W have this issue fixed, as well as accurate power output.

I've had my troubles with the 20W as well, so I understand. But I am happily using the 30W and 50W now, and all is well :)
