Is my Istck 50 defective?

Hi, I recently bought the istick 50w. When I put my aerotank with the 1.8 ohm dual coil on without the 510 adapter. The ohm reader fluctuates from 2.0 ohms to as high as 3.0 ohms. However when I use the adapter it reads at 2.0 ohms. When I put the protank mini 3 with the 1.8 ohm dual coil it reads above 3.0 ohms and fluctuates as well and having the adapter connected does not help. What is going on here ?

Probably not what you want to hear, but I've used both tanks on mine without an issue. However, I did have that issue when I did my first rba build in a Subtank on it. Loose connections. I'd make sure everything is clean and tight and try the Aerotank without the 510.

Mine has worked with everything i have tried but it sounds like the pin isn't making a good connection. As the post above said take tank apart and make sure everything is clean and screwed in nicely,also give the connection on the istick a quick clean.
Maybe gently push the 510 pin on the istick and make sure its springing up properly, also if you have another battery or an ohm reader you can check the tanks on it may help check where the connection issue is.
My istick reads 0.1 higher than my coil ratings so reading 2 ohm is fine but ofc it shouldn't read as high as 3 as yours is doing.

If sounds like your not making a good connection. Without seeing it, it's a little hard to diagnose. But clean everything off and try screwing down again.

The problem seems to have fixed itself. Aside from reading the coil at 2.0 ohms it seems to be working fine with my aerotank. It still fluctuates when I use my protank mini 3. I think I have a bad coil. I will have to wait for my new coils to find out. Thanks guys.

See if it still happens when you change the coil if it does check your connections as does sound like a bad connection.
