So one of my buddies actually gave me one along with the ruthless strizzy 3.5%. Love it for the most part but trying to really understand how this works. I'm pretty new to the vape game so excuse my ignorance.

I downloaded evolve and have tweaked the settings for a .5 MTL. Currently on 10 power, 5 boost and 5 warmth. Initially it's great. However after a few hits the flavor starts to get muted. And that crackling and all that gets turned down quite a bit. Am I doing something wrong?

Also, Once I have that "perfect vape" I hit replay but it seems to get muted right off the bat and no where near what it was before. I did read somewhere that airing out the pod (taking the fill cap off and letting it breath) could help with pod burnt taste so I tried it and it seems to bring back the flavor. Again, after a few hits it gets muted again (whether in replay or not).

I get what the power is and if I'm understanding boost correctly, on initial fire it immediately brings the power to 5 from the boost until it can reach 10? Also, what does warmth actually mean and do?

Thanks guys!

Howdy and welcome :)
If a coil is burnt it’s burnt. There is no fixing. Only replacing. You can’t unburn stuff usually.

Which exact device do you have? Both the mod (the bit with the batteries in it) and the atty (the bit on top where the vapor comes out of)?

If you don’t know uploading a pic of them may be enough to work with.

With that information we can be of more help.

I assume you have the LV Orion since you're posting in this threat. If so, this is a common complaint about the burnt taste happening quickly at stock settings even on low power. I would try escribe with 8watts, 1 boost, and 2 warmth to start. Don't forget after you make the changes in escribe to "upload settings to device" so the changes are made on the Orion. Then use at lowest power settings on the Orion and hit replay after you get a good puff. It will be a cool vape, but the pod will last longer. If that works better for you, you can start increasing the warmth a bit but I think if you raise the wattage or boost you will get short lived pods again.

Let us know how that goes for you.

@bombastinator is right. Once you taste the burnt taste there's no saving the pod. It's done and needs to be replaced to get a clean taste.

There are some new pods by 3rd party companies ready to be release soon, hopefully. So keep an eye on this thread for guys following that. Maybe we'll get a better pod for this otherwise awesome pod system.

I changed to your settings. The flavor seems to be very dull. Its just weird. I get a great vape messing around with the settings but when I hit replay, it's nothing that first vape. I'll keep an eye out for those new pods. Do you know what company will be making them?

There are 3 companies that are "threatening" to release pods for the LV Orion. But only 1 is more or less confirmed at this point, and they are currently in pre-order. I don't know when they are shipping, hopefully soon but that's hard to say. The other 2 I know about are rebuildable solutions and they look like they are going to release products, but they haven't set a date and aren't on pre-order yet so who knows.

The one on pre-order was discovered by @BillW50 and he posted the link in the Pod System forum here on ECF. Lots of good information there if you haven't checked it out yet... about 62 pages worth, including details on the two rebuildables and lots of other users settings advice. You can find the the LV Orion thread here. That is probably the best place to get info on the Orion and ask questions, there are some very knowledgeable users there.

And the link for the pre-order pod from BillW50 is here. Hopefully this will be available soon to try.
