More than likely the two coils are not identical in build, causing a difference in individual resistance. The coil with the least resistance will fire faster and hotter.

Did you test each coil individually on a meter before you put them on your atomizer?

What's the overall resistance measure on the meter? What battery are you using?

I would try to compress them both. Fire your mod to light up the coils, release the fire button, and then quickly and gently get in there with some tweezers and lightly compress and hold each coil for a while. I make a bunch of identical coils at time for later use and this works for me if they don't heat evenly in the same manner.

Yea these are the same
And you measured each one individually on a meter?

I find it hard to believe that two coils built the same, with the same number of loops, the same diameter, and the same length of wire, will behave in that manner when fired up. They can't be identical.

The only possibility is the posts are not tight, and you said you checked that.

I wrap my dual coils exactly the same way and check them individually on the meter on the atty. Yeah, its more work that way, but I know they ohm out the same.

Then it may be in the post screws especially the center post where the two wires are screwed down together..I would check the ohms on the meter one more time and compare it to what it was when you installed it...if that doesn't work out I would pull those old coils, wash the deck good and wrap some new coils...

I'm sure they appear to be, but the glow doesn't lie. I've had limited success shortening the lead of the dimmer one (geeze do I have that backwards). One time I got trapped in a cycle of trying to tweak on the build like that and over doing it, trying to tweak the other, jacking up the coils...waisted an hour. If one or two minor tweaks doesn't get them close enough, throw in the towel and rewrap.
