Help! My mech mod won't work!

If you dont have a hybrid top and you use Atlantis tank, it will instantly kill your battery.

KGB might have hit the problem on the head.

If you look down through the top of your mod (without a head installed) can you see the top of the battery? Or is there a real 510/ego connector there?

If you can see the top of the battery (in other words, the center-pin of the head is supposed to go right up against the top of the battery) then you are in trouble! The only atty's for which this works are ones where the 510 center-pin of the head sticks out farther than the outer threaded part of the connection!!!!! (even when screwed in tightly!) If both the center pin and the outer threaded part of the 510 connector touch the battery, you will short out the battery (and count yourself lucky that it failed as benignly as it did!!!!)

Assuming by head you mean atty, looking down through the mod without the Atlantis in it, I see the connection pin.

the screw that screws in at the top cap of the mechanical mod which makes contact with the 510 should be male at the top and female at the bottom connected to another screw . Adjust that . Make sure you screw in your tank first , then the screw until you cant spin it anymore ( touches the 510 of the tank ) and then adjust the male only screw depending on your battery if it has a flat top or not .

And OP: have you screwed in the mod center pin as shown in the pics above to ensure that your centerpin makes contact with the topper?

btw this mod is so old it smells like rotten metal , anyone know if I can do something about it ?

Why not take it to a shop and see if they can help you through it?????

There may be a situation here that could cause some serious danger to you. You are talking about a 26650.

You throw it away. If its as old as you say it is, its unlikely to be compatible with most tanks made now days.
