Your ZMAX can tell you if the issue is with the carto. Go to Menu 5 and select "A", then go to Menu 6 and turn the LED to "On." Now it should show you the resistance of your carto when you press the button. If it shows 9.4o or something similar, you are either not making a good connection or your carto is no good.

Speaking of the ZMAX, can anyone describe how to take it apart? Mine has the 501 connector sitting very low, so that when my tank is screwed gently so that it's snug, the base of the tank (Smoktech) is flush with the top of the mod and the airflow is negligible, until the tank is backed off to a loose condition.

If I could raise the 501 connector relative to the case of the Zmax, that would solve the problem, I think. Ideas appreciated ...
