Hello,

I just got a set of four rechargeable rcr123a batteries. I have charged them and put them in my precise but nothing happens when I push the button. Does anyone know why? It feels like everything is making contact as the throw on the button is even less than with the aw 18650 that comes with the pv. I'm assuming I'm using a LR 510 atty. It came with the precise as well.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks ahead of time!

I would check that you haven't already blown the atty a LR510 should be run at 3.7 volts to give a 5 volt experience. If you have put two 3.7 volt batteries in the P18 that is giving 7.4 volts and if it hasn't already will blow the atty pretty quickly. If you have a standard one I would try that to see if it works first if it does the atty is blown if not at least you know it's not that.

I agree with PB that you may have blown your LR atty the moment you fired it up with the 6V setup, since it's only meant to be used on a 3.7V setup. But that's easy to determine with a DMM (a digital multimeter). Do you own one? If you don't, you can pick up a cheap one at your local Radio Shack, Lowe's or Home Depot. Just remember that your P18 is an all-mechanical device. There is really nothing that can go wrong with it. We need to make sure that there is power at the adapter when you press the button and that your atty is alive...
