2 batteries, 2 delivery systems, 1 charger and lots of juice. I am not sure if there are vendors in Australia so plan accordingly for shipment. Don't give up on battery systems. On average 100mh=1 hour of vaping. In the picture below is a 650mh; 2200 mh; and 900mh. The end ones are mini Nova tanks and the center is a standard size Nova:

There are many wonderful kits buys. Check our Positive Vendors threads and watch for the % off coupons. Juice will be your biggest factor. Try a sample pack if possible and move away from tobacco flavors so you do not get that flavor urge for a real cigarette. After about a week you can sample the tobaccos.

Good Luck and welcome to ECF.

The Kgo vari volt (Kgo VV) is a battery with a passthrough feature. its what I got instead of a dedicated passthrough to use at my pc so i can save the other batteries charged for work/out of the house. the good part of the KGO is you can easily detach the cord to carry it around if not just sitting there.

but agreed with other post once you get started you will want at least 2 batteries, a charger (2 would be best, one for back up) and a few other supplies. it seems to be a lot of cash at first but suddenly once your done there not much to buy besides what you need to maintain your vaping, (juice, parts etc)

one of the easiest, foolproof setups for beginning is a couple of ego twists or vision spinner batteries and a vivi nova mini or full tank, proven to be reliable and not much fiddling around with parts.

couple of my fav stores are:
http://www.smoktek.com/
http://www.gotvapes.com/
http://www.ecigbestsave.com/default.asp

but there are many more out there so shop around, and keep askin questions ;)

the juice is subjective, there are tons of venders, and even more flavors, the best thing to do is get sample packs. Im trying juice from everywhere but one of my fallback venders is:
http://thevaporroom.net/eliquids.html. they have great deals, free samples with every order, always sending coupons, sales on flavor of the week etc.
there are many others but I always consider them as their 10 pack sampler is where it all got started for me.

And in regards to the last part of your statement, i wouldnt go all out and try to get set up all at once for months on end untill you know what works and what you like, there is just too much stuff to learn, to try, and what you like now may not be how you feel in two weeks.

to be honest till right now I never heard of powerpal, the ego name refers to the outer threading on the battery. personally I would stick with joyetech (the original) or vision or kgo as these are the more reputable companies making ego/510 batteries. the only few I can find on the web show they are the same price as the real joye batteries.

in all i would say if you want a passthrough right away i would say skip the kit, get a passthrough battery and a ego twist (one each), a mini nova tank, maybe a carto or two to play with and you will be more then set till you decide if you want to play with other stuff.

Variable voltage models are wonderful for starting out. You just add the delivery device of your choosing and dial in the vape you like. Easy-peasy. I have 5 variable voltage Twists including the Stainless EGO VV Battery 650mah 3v to 6v and it's working perfectly. LJ's ships internationally but people from Australia have commented that it is expensive and takes a long time to receive things from the U.S.

Pbusardo reviewed a couple of Twist class passthroughs including the one I bought.
A PBusardo Review eGo Pass Thru VV
A PBusardo Review - Super eGo VV 14500

I'm not familiar with UK vendors but I've seen posts that shipping from the UK to Australia is much faster than ordering from the U.S. Also, I've seen several Australians mention they order from Health Cabin in China which is a well regarded seller. They have some variable voltage passthroughs.
