It takes a while to find your perfect vape settings for me it was all trial and error,I just wouldn't crank it all the way up at the get go....like was stated I would start easy on the wattage, and go from there, just don't go too drastically from high to low all at once it can hurt your equip.we all start somewhere, afterall and welcome!!!!

Hello and welcome to the forum @BadfishRob. Glad to have you here!:)
Ive got an istick tc40w and a 1.0 ohm coil on my Triton tank. I need help with optimal settings please.
The rule of thumb for EVERY vape device you'll ever own is the same (when running in power or wattage/voltage mode). Turn your voltage/wattage down, take a few hits, bump it up, couple more hits. Repeat until you find your "sweet spot". If it starts to taste funny, gets too hot or tastes burnt, back it down. Different flavors will have different sweet spots so you just have to experiment.

Welcome and glad you joined.
Tip:
When starting your vape low, I find that the wattage that works for me is usually 1 to 2 watts over the lowest watt setting (where i can barely see the vape cloud on the exhale). Lower watt settings lessen the chance of burning the liquid and generates the best flavor IMO. This formula applies to non sub ohm'g YMMV (1.0 ohm is iffy non sub ohm'g--2.0 ohm's here).
After I get my Atty (coil and chamber heat up) going for awhile, I will often times turn the mod down a watt or so to see if I can taste more flavor. I'm often surprised at how much better the vape is by lowering the vape temp/wattage.
