hi, I've been vaping for 6 months now and bought an aspire sub ohm cf with the Atlantis tank. I was using .5 coil and the vapour was amazing. I've recently purchased lemo2 and kanger sub tank and been building my own coils. Everytime I vape on .5 I seem to get a burnt taste. I'm vaping on 2.4ohm now and get lots of vapour and favour, just wondering why the sub own coils taste burnt now.

Well, there could be a short in the wire coil, especially if this is your first attempts at making your own coils. Are you using microcoils (loops touching) or open (spaced) coils?

Prior to installing the wick, did you fire the coils to see if they glow from center out? Make sure there is no wire touching anything other than the posts holding it, and that the coil is not touching the building deck. Make sure that the loops look identical to each other (glow equally). Make sure when measuring the ohms that the reading isn't jumping around with different readings.

What are you specifically using for wick material? Cotton, organic cotton, Ko Gen Do or Bacon Cotton, silica?
