Intro to sub ohm

Hi everyone,

I'm new to ECF but not to vaping in general. I currently have a Vamp with a Kanger aeronautics tank mini. I'm looking to get into sub ohming for the added performance but don't really want to deal with rebuilding. I've been looking at the Aspire cf mod paired with the atlantis. Any ideas on whether this is a good start or should I go with something else?

I don't recommend getting the Aspire CF Battery, it only fires 20-25W depending on its charge and you might want to set your own wattage, and for an all day vape set up you will need to pick up 2 of them. You would be better off picking up something like the iStick 30/50w, or if you wanted even more room to grow IPV3 or Sigeli 100W. The Atlantis tank works amazing, been using mine for about 3 weeks now with my Cloupor T8, not a single leak, great clouds, great flavor.

I'm a little leery of the CF sub-ohm myself. It's really a glorified mech mod (and mechs are great, in the right hands).

I wouldn't buy one because mechs work every bit as well, it's kinda on the huge side, and if it turns out you like high-wattage vaping, you HAVE to go sub-ohm. With an atlantis, you'd probably be pushing around 30 watts on a full charge.

For just a bit more, or even cheaper maybe, you could get a nice 50watt mod and have much more freedom in what you put on it, and how you use it. And once you're experienced, you could get a cloned mech for cheaper, which has essentially the same functionality, also in a smaller package. (Note that I am NOT advocating that you get a mech).

So my personal opinion is that it's bridging some weird gap so that two other classes of mods (high wattage box-mods vs. mechs) can do a lot of what the CF does, but have other advantages beyond the CF.

But that's just me; I'm sure many people own then, use them, and like them a lot. I just won't be one of them :)

That's the thing I don't want to have to be lugging around a box mod. The cf mod piqued my interest cause it semi portable and has the ability to change batteries.

the efleaf istic isnt big at all. the 30w with no atty on it is as long as the width of my paland is maybe 2 inches wide

If it is size that is a concern, go with the iStick, they are quite small compared to other mods. I usually run my Atlantis at 22-27W depending on the juice. So an iStick 30W would be able to give you a good vape, but the 50w gives you room to expand later (And a larger battery life I believe). If you are a heavy vaper though, you will either need a device where you can swap batteries, or need to get 2 devices (which is just a pain in my opinion) to switch between.
