Hi all
i currently have one of those evod ( don't ask the model , i have no clue). the battery is 1100 mAh i think. i want to upgrade and really get into vaping. iv pretty much completely quit smoking now, and this seems like a great new thing to me.

My problems are, the only shop close to me that sells vape stuff is a head shop, and all they try to do is sell me the most expensive £100 set up.
and give me no help apart from " buy this one, its great."

so my questions are;

what type of atomizer should i get?
and would you recommend a box mod? a mech mod? or like a larger, variable watt/variable voltage battery?
How does resistance make a difference?

i have a little knowledge on vaping, but some good solid information would be brilliant.

Thank You

Thanks for the quick reply, how much does that cost? And could you explain a little about sub ohm?

Don't worry about sub-ohm. Those are really for folks that want to make really big clouds of vapour in a competitive way (I will get hate mail for saying that), If you just want something that works then the set-up I suggested will do the job very well. I'm using it now. If you can wait then the smart-20 from FT is extremely cheap and identical to the iStick 20w. It's a balance of price versus patience on that, though (it takes a while for things to be delivered). Good luck!

This question does not surprise me there a Vapor shops popping up all over with no type of training in electronics as a general rule nor do they have any training handling e-liquid properly. No gloves as they put their hands all over the products that someone that are prepared to ingest. No Clean Room to prepare the liquid's people are inhaling. And when you ask about a set up all they can say is "hey man this is way cool dude" I really am grateful that we have this forum to learn from one another. My set up is a Innokin i taste mvp with a Kanger T3D sub-tank my next tank purchase will be the Aspire. The ??? you need to ask yourself is what kind of budget you have for the purchase of your set up and the amount that you will use it. If you are going to vapor all the time then a more expensive ones that will take the abuse of a full time vapeist and that way it will last longer without 100 of trips to the vape I am happy to say i make my own e-liquid and the only trips to a vap shop to get parts for my tanks.I doesn't hurt to have a cheaper back up to use while charging or if the power runs out my i taste's battery lasts 2 to 3 days.

Thank you all for helping, I eventually bought the istick. Could anyone please suggest a good tank that doesn't break the bank? The one I'm using at the moment isn't very good. And tastes burnt above 3.5v.

Yes... no great surprise... what is it you have?

3.5v on the iStick is somewhere nearer 4.5v in reality, so if it vapes OK but says less than 3.5v please don't feel you are being 'cheated' somehow.

I run all my tanks at about 4.0-4.5 volts but only 3.5v on an iStick.

Aspire makes a glass tank called the Aspire ET-S, it is a BVC (bottom vertical coil/or BDC bottom dual coil) It sells for about $6 USD online. It also uses an ego thread. So if you get an iStick , you will need a 510 to eGo adapter ($5 USD). Personally if I were you I'd go for the iStick 50W, it allows room for growth, and the battery (4400 mah) lasts for days. ($50 USD)

Perhaps you could also go for a kanger subtank mini. It is said to have great vape and taste and you also get an rba base, so you could try coilbuilding later on if you should ever feel like trying. With the different coils you can try o,5 resistance but you can use normal ones, too.It will also look good on the mini.
Nautilus mini is good, though, many people like it. I've still got the bigger Nautilus working. Both use the BVC Coils and they last quite long and the difference in taste compared to your current equipment will make you happy.
