Help!

I'm looking for a new e cig. I just bought the safe cig (RN4081) and I am very satisfied for the most part but I'm going to return it because there are some things I don't like. For, instance i paid almost 140 dollars for my starter kit which is just too much. I'm just not sure what to get or if i should get the RN4081 from a different vender. Here is what I'm looking for, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

preferably no bigger than an analog cig

good battery life

available to use empty cartomizers (2 part system) so i can use my own juice

choice of different colors for battery and hopefully even empty cartomizers

preferably available in both manual and auto battery

I've looked at a few but I'm having difficulty find information. The ones that seem to stand out are the KR808d-1, joye 510, and the RN4081 (which i currently use). I came across Blue Battery by Premium E-Cigarette premium e-cigs, which seem very appealing to me. Does anyone know if these are the RN4081?

When I first started and up until recently I went with the 510. I decided on this model because of the desire like you to have something similar to an analog but also because there was a Personal Charging Case (PCC) available for it which meant that I always had a charged battery on hand (unless i forgot to charge my pcc for few days). It was also very reasonably priced. I gave up analogs the day I got it and have never looked back!

A 510 is always a good choice (I bet you wish you'd thought of it $140 ago; been there, done that). The only difficulty in your list of desired features is battery life. I got about 2-3 hours out of mine when it was my main PV. You'll get more out of a mega battery, simply because it's a larger battery. But it's not so large as to push your size envelope, I don't think.

There's every kind of accessory you can think of for 510s (cartomizers included; remember, 510 is really more of an atomizer type than it is a PV). It comes in several colors and red or blue LEDs, and there's both manual & automatic batteries.

It does sound like the 3.7v would be a good choice for guitar. There are a lot of Ego styles models out there and they are mostly based on 510 equipment so hardware is easy to find.

I researched before I bought my first and started at 3.7v. I haven't regreted it since. shop around and read the info in the forums before you decide which model would be best for you.

^^ What he said, battery life is usually poor but a PCC helps. I think you will find that after some time, and money, you will care less what it looks like and more on how it works for you. Sometimes bigger is better.

You could have a small battery, just make sure you get a pcc with the batteries. This way it should last you most of the day I would think. A couple hours, most pcc's charge what 3 or 4 times. Would last a day of work I would assume. Maybe not though I haven't tried them. So don't take my word on that, just my calculations based on what people said.

Vapor4life is what I use. It's a kr808d-1. They offer a PCC with their kit along with a usb passthrough. It's a good deal money wise. I also have a Joye 510 setup it has a nice PCC with it also. However in both of those cases I think they are all still a tad longer then a regular cigarette. I think.

Okay, so before you decide to switch models, even if you do plan on getting a refund for your Safe Cig (probably a good idea)...you might want to take a look at a few things.
First, yes it is true that battery life is going to be short if you have an e-cig about the size of an analog. If you get a couple batteries to rotate, though, this should not be a problem. Have one to vape on while one is charging. I have heard that the RN4081 charges rather quickly.
RN4081 is hard to find in manual, but you can get a DSE103 (same model, different manufacturers, if I understand correctly) here: DSE103 Manual And Auto Batteries

There are places to get the RN4081 in different colors. SmokeStik has them in a few different colors, but they're kinda pricey and have a big logo. Scroll down to "SmokeStik Specialty Batteries".
CigVapor.net has a few color options as well, with a lower price. (Look for "RN4081, 510 and 901 Batteries" on the left about halfway down).

What are the main differences youve seen in the kr808d-1 and the 510?

Well in my opinion only. The KR808d-1 seems stronger. Stronger battery life, stronger throat hit, and a hotter Vapor. I really like all those things. Some people argue saying the 510 is stronger, I am not sure how because physically it is not as strong a battery. However personal preference I guess. I am also referring just to the regular sized batteries. The mini or shorties I really don't know anything about.
In either case, they are both solid PV's. I think they both offer small versions, I know the kr808d-1 does I assume the 510 does. They both have PCC's, they both offer cartomizers, and both cartomizers can be used with upgrades later on. The XL batery for the kr808, and the ego for the 510. Lets say you go crazy and start buying 6 volt models one day, they both will also work with those models, maybe requiring a couple dollar converter piece.
I seem to use the kr808d-1 from vapor4life more often because I like the slim PCC, it fits in my pocket. The 510 pcc is rather edgy, blockish and sharp, not as easy for me to carry in pants pocket. The kr808d-1 also came with a usb passthrough for my computer at home, and a carrying case as well. The 510 did not, although you can purchase ones for it separately.
I don't think you will go wrong with either purchase really..fine choices

These are the 2 im looking at right now.

from what I can tell the KR808D-1 battery lasts longer than the 510. I get a good solid 4-6 hours use out of mine, and simply take 2 with me for a night on the town. I haven't suffered a dead battery yet after an evening out. I purchased my starter kit from Prime Vapor because they had a couples starter kit, and bought some additional batteries from My Vapor Store. Both vendors had excellent shipping speed. I've always received my orders within 2-3 days.

Pass through is a "battery" that has a usb cord attached. No worries about battery charge. However you are obviously stuck to your desk or car. Works for most of us at the computer. very handy....

I have not messed with the low res cartos, from what I have read they are for more vapor, stronger throat hit, I assume. I do know that because of the low resistance, they burn out a lot faster and you must keep them very wet.

Passthru hooks to a usb port there are a few different kinds but mainly it is used while sitting at your computer or watching TV basicly something you vape with at home and dont have to worry about battery charging. Here is a picture

LR stands for low resistance basically they run hotter then normal cartomizer and atomizers. You can expect them not last as long because of running hotter also you will find no warranty on the LR atomizers and cartomizers besides DOA

I don't own a 302 though I do use the attys for my JoyeStick, but I do have the 801 ... very "hollywood" looking, especially in black or wine red! But from tip to tip, they're just over 6" long so if you're looking for something along the length of an analog, these are on the long side. I'm not sure the battery life of the 801, as I only use those to test juices and never until the battery ran out, but I'd guess you'd probably get about 4 hrs. at least from it.

I have a manual 510, and am quite satisfied with it. It's been a while I have been interested in getting an e cig with larger battery, and last night I found Riva 510 starter kit on Liberty Flights for $29.99. Check it out it's a great deal Electronic Cigarette - Starter Kits - Riva 901
Riva has a 750 mah battery which should last you a day. You can get Hello16/Hello Good Buy with 1300 mah battery. However, consider the battery size and portability also. Whatever you choose, I highly recommend getting a 510 compatible device, since it's quite popular, and you can find more accessories, and better deals for parts.

I can't remember, but they may also have the 510 on sale too. Like most of us, you will eventually want something that lasts longer than the analog-appearing PVs.
