Thanks to virtuetovice , i made my own passthrough , but i acidently bought a switch rated at 1.5 amps , and i notice that the power is really weak, does the switch have anything to do with it? Supposibly the passthrough should be 5volts but feels weaker then 3.7 rite now, an ideas why?

Im using a iphone usb wall plug, its the only one that worked i try another one and it wouldnt fire, atty wise, i tryed standard boge cartomizers and i try a lr306 and it was still weak, any tips? I dont think its wirering cus i did it pretty straight forward, usb cable connected to the switch then switch connected to the atty

It's all about the current available to drive the atty.

Look on the wall plug and see what is says for output, it will be in mA or amps. Anything below about 1500mA (1.5A) is pretty useless, 1.5A though should work fine with standard Boge cartos and a few other high ohm offerings

If it's weak with a 'standard boge cartomizer' it probably won't even fire a LR atty as they want even more current.

But sometimes these adapters may actually put out more than their amp ratings with LR. It's a crapshoot sometimes.

Yeah I had the same thing Jason. It is the wallwart itself that is slowing you down most likely. My Passthrough I made works like a dream on my PC usb port. However, the wallwart for my Droid and for the SmokeTip Kr808 batts I got only put out .5A which isn't enough. I also have a usb car lighter hub that doesn't work aswell as the PC usb, it seems to fire my atty in spurts but is good in a pinch.

Yea i tryed it on my macbook pro but a warning came up on my laptop that says the usb port is sucking up too much power, so gay, such a pretty AA box passthrough to, damn it, i wanted to try 5vs before my foxboxmod came in , guess i still have to wait

You can also get and 5V 2A and 5V 3A wall warts on eBay real cheap if you don't mind waiting on shipping from China. Though you'll need to adapt the connector.

Yea, these online vendors get you sometimes on shipping, lure you in with good prices, then wham on the shpping charges. I just paid $25 on something for EMS shipping from China. The China eBay vendors use regular airmail which is cheap, but takes like 3 weeks.

Didn't add any extra shipping costs to my existing order. Guess it depends how much you're spending
