My sister in law finally recieved her mini today and she called me asking why does the bottom have a hole in it that is almost the circumference of the battery? Can anyone help me with this? Thanks in advance!

That would be the GLV "Super Size Me" vent hole. That is for if and when your batteries decide to take a suicidal dirt nap in an explosive manner your very shiny, and very much loved GLV does not become a grenade.
It is one of the ways Jay and Sara have made switching to something that wont kill us.......not kill us.

I am thankful that my glv does not have that vent hole, my pockets are always full of stuff that would pack right into a hole like that. I hope that this becomes an option rather than something that is mandatory, especially if the button is going back to being part of the safety features. Just my opinion.

LOL yes I know its huge, but its going to change as soon as the ECF safety model comes out. The vent hole is not really for those of you smart enough to use the AW batteries we sell with the device. Its for the people who insist on saving 3$ ,and buying the cheap ones. The vent hole is going to be smaller, but still kinda big., ..and yes it will be an option at some point. You will be able to own a GLV ECF safety model, or the model we sell today.
