after vaping the same flavor for two weeks (I just love it so much, TVR Sweet Tarts) I decided I wanted to change it up a bit. I have some samplers from another company. So, I washed out my Kanger Mini 2 and got all setup with a new flavor. Gummy Candy from The Vape Mall. Only problem is, it tasted like burnt rubber/chemical. bleh... so I tried a new coil head, and it still tastes like chemical/burnt rubber, but not as much... what am I doing wrong?!

THe way I wash my heads is I just run them under hot water for about 30 seconds. then I take a paper towel and squeeze off/rub off, all the water I can, and leave them to dry overnight. I have a pack of 5 coils at 2.2ohms, and then I have the two that came with the kanger mini. I should note, that I am using a 2.2ohm head on 3.3V (the lowest it will go) and the second coil I tried with this juice was brand new out of the package.

It could be that there is still residual hardened on juice on the coil, you need to dry burn to get that off.

She noted the second coil was new. If I had to guess (all this is) I'd suspect it's the juice not your equipment. I've read a few people getting similar tastes from dif suppliers. I've not had this issue but I'd say try letting the gummy flav steep and breathe a bit but don't get your hopes up on that one. Then try your other flavors.

hmm.. wel, I've had the gummy candy one for about 3 weeks... do I need to let it sit with the cap off or something?

as far as my other coils, I've read about soaking them overnight in everclear to help clean them off, since I cant get them apart to dry burn them. I don't have everclear, but would Absolut or Skyy vodka work?

I did not know the gummy had been with you that long. Steeping is letting a liquid sit preferably in a dark cool place for a week or 2 sometimes more with tobaccos or complex flavors. Breathing is letting it sit with the cap off a bit. I think people tend to let it breathe for a few days. It's usually only helpful if your liquid has alcohol or a funny chemical taste. I've not had. These issues and I've not personally needed to let something breathe.

For cleaning I've used vodka myself on tanks/ atomizers. You mentioned trouble taking apart a coil to dry burn. I don't think taking it apart Is required. Place the coil in the pro tank base, place the base on your device and give it a few pulses. If the atomizer is trash you've got nothing to loose. If you want to take one apart, with the atty in the base take a pair of pliers gently to the chimney of the atomizer. Wiggle it back and forth and I'm betting you could pop it off.

Bubble gum and gummy bear is my favorite vape. It does tend to goo up and slow down a wick. I have found that my wicks are only good for one wash, as you have done. Then its into the trash. (I just rinse and rinse with the hot tap water) I just learnd to live with it. and one other thing...Keep that absolut and Skyy in a good drink where it should be!
