So I recently bought a Alien 220w mod and it was working great. But I ordered some new coils and now I’m getting a bad taste, it’s not burnt but it just doesn’t taste good. I cleaned my tank out completely before primed the coil then let it soak for 30 minutes. So I thought maybe that coil was a dud but I tried 2 others doing the exact same thing of cleaning priming and waiting but still the same thing. I don’t think it’s anything wrong with the juice either I’ve tried 2 different juices that have worked great for me in the past and they still have the same bad taste. Should I buy a whole new tank or try different types of coils?

Sketchy factory coils were one of the things that quickly pushed me into rebuildables way back when.

That said, I think a new wick/coil should be broken in at relatively low power. On a regulated mod, turn down the power to something like 60-75% of where you normally vape and work your way back up. On a mech, break in a new wick using a batter that's just about ready to be recharged.

    That’s what I was doing.
