I don't think there's going to be that big of a performance difference between the two you mentioned. I have the griffin 22mm, herakles rta. The flavor is tad better on the griffin but perhaps due to a smaller chimney and how airy the herakles.

If you really want 2 RTAs that do different things look into single coil RTAs or even the avocado 24mm (coming out soon). IMO these velocity style decks 25mm attys are pretty much similar. To me it comes down to aesthetic preference, airflow, and maybe a slight difference in flavor and cloudz (albeit subjective due to bias).

I can tell you why I chose the Griffin 25 over the Boreas or Aromamizer Supreme:

The Griffin has under-the-coil airflow. The top airflow feature was just a gimmicky bonus.

I have the original Aromamizer and added the velocity deck. The flavor on it SUCKS. I have no reason to believe any other side flow rta would behave any differently.

From everything I've read, both the Supreme and the Boreas are world's better than the Aromamizer. I'm not sure I follow your logic; side flow works fines for tons of rda's, why couldn't it work for an RTA?

It would be very helpful if you would elaborate from your personal experience what the "Boreas or the Supreme" offer that the Herakles and/or Griffin do not making them not even worth considering. Whatever it is, it must be substantial.

Indeed, it is. Nearly twice the capacity, larger deck, better airflow, bigger clouds, extra deck, extra glass... maybe the better question is what exactly do the Herakles and Griffin offer that the Boreas doesnt?

Also, I've yet to find anyone who owns either the Boreas or Supreme, yet prefers Griffin/Herakles/VCMT/Gemini Mega or anything else (despite also owning one or more of those). That's gotta say something, right?

I own the vcmt and although it's got the biggest EVERYTHING it's to big to carry around so I use it on a night only at home (30mm)

I own the griffin 22 and I find that the original aromamiser the mutank are both so much better

Now I own the supreme and boreas and they both are better than all my other rtas so much better

Thanks! I appreciate the feedback. Some of the "benefits" you list would be plusses, others not so much for me. But enough for me to check into those further. Being so rural, I rarely see another vaper, let alone a vape shop, so need all the info here I can get.

I also find most standard side airflow RDA's to be bland in the flavor department.

I have no doubt the Boreas and Supreme are nice RTA's. Many are fond of them. Just not for me.

I have the Aromamizer Supreme and it has the best flavor of any tank I have ever tried. Very easy to build, separate JFC and AFC, excellent knurling providing grip. I really have no cons and at this time it's my favorite RTA. I like it so much I have a second one on the way.

PS You can get it for a great price from FastTech using the discount code MAP, as long as you aren't in a great hurry to get it.

Cheers,

Thanks for the tip that discount really made me rethink my decision.

I ended up getting the Aromamizer and my cousin got the Griffin 25. We're gonna try them both and see how it goes.

I have them both and I really think you are going to like the Aromamizer Supreme better. It's easier to wick, produces more vapor, and (most importantly) better flavor. Not saying the Griffin is bad, just not quite in the same league (just my opinions). One thing I will say for the Griffin 25 is it doesn't seem to go through juice quite as fast ;).

PS When you have a chance to try them out, please let us know what you think.

Cheers,
Steve

After trying both Aromamizer and Griffin 25 I can say I prefer the Aromamizer.

My cousin likes the looks of the griffin and believes the griffin has an easier deck to build on and can take a single coil. He didn't like the way the build deck comes of and had some leaking issues when he tried the aromamizer so he's sticking with his griffin 25.

Me on the other hand, I didn't like the open juice holes when the deck is removed on the Griffin and although I liked the Top AF on the herakles tank I found it didn't feel the same on the griffin so I didn't use it.

I prefer the flavor of the Aromamizer and I think it has more space for vertical coils than the griffin. I had minor leaking with it but I think it's due to my wicking so I'm still experimenting with that.

In the end its all a matter of preference I think. I'm happy with the Aromamizer and my cousin with the Griffin 25. We might disagree but as long as we both are happy with what we got that's all that matters. Thanks guys for your advice!
